That's what he's doing. He probably forgot all about making a choice. He's going to wake up tomorrow like "OH ****! Wasn't there something I'm suppose to be doing?" *takes bong rip* "Guess not."
Seriously? That pick wont be worth anything. Unless those teams can pry Barnes and/or Klay fropm GSW, Im calling BS.
If Dwight wants to go to a gutted team let him. No point in stressing out. Also those 1st rd picks will be low.
Keep in mind he's saying 'if that's all Dwight needs', not that Dwight told them if they cleared space he'd go there. This is all still contingent on where Dwight wants to go. Hold tight.
This is ridiculous. I would be shocked if a team with cap space will take 9 mil worth of Biedrins or Jefferson for a late 20's pick especially this early in free agency. Does GS have any other team's draft picks or something? It will take a major asset to have someone fill their cap space with Biedrins or Jefferson. I just don't see it. Mavs tried hard to dump Marion on someone but didn't find any takers and Marion is still a productive player.
This contradicts Stein's report that when tryin to unload all 3, only the Jazz, Cavs, some other team has the room. Heisler saying 15 teams lol
I don't think an owner is down with paying $9MM to Biedrins or $11MM to Jefferson just for a #1. Just doesn't make sense to me.
Warriors would be mortgaging their future to get Dwight. Not sure if they can keep both Klay/Barnes. So Dwight + Steph + Klay/Barnes. I don't think they'll be as good as the Warriors we saw in the playoffs. Big part of their (3 point) success with having all of Curry, Klay, Barnes, Landry, Jack, even Bogut. And we won't see that same amazing shooting team there, and 3 pont shooters is why Dwight would want GSW.
I don't believe there has been a case in NBA Free Agency where a "verbal agreement" took place and then the person "backed out" after that agreement. If this has indeed happened in this scenario can someone provide an example? And I am talking "strictly this example" FREE AGENCY + VERBAL AGREEMENT and backing out. While it "could happen", in theory, seems like horrible business and I don't think teams or agents want that blemish on their resume.
How are you not mad that we have probably failed to acquire a star Free Agent for like, the 4th straight season?
Whatever team Warriors are going to with the David Lee contract, I'd go to with the Jeremy Lin contract.
