In all of this, Matt Jackson has been EXTREMELY confident about Dwight to Houston. Didn't he interview Morey a couple of days ago? If so, Morey must have told him it was a lock (if it actually is).

All this Snt stuff is coming from teams leaking dreams and reporters speculating BS. There's nothing from the Rockets or Howard. Morey just said Asik and Lin are not on the market. Of course that doesn't mean he won't listen to deals and if Portland calls and offers LMA then they might change their POV but Morey is clearly aware of Josh Smith and other free agents and is not ready to pull the trigger for those guys. Morey knows the market better than any of us and what is available right now on that market is not anything he wants to trade Lin and Asik for. If you think he's lying fine, but it still doesn't mean these other sources know more. They don't. They just need to sell papers. The only SnT trade I see is if the Lakers want Cisco Garcia. The Rockets can toss in a first and the Lakers get Garcia a first and a very large TE. If the lakers like Garcia maybe they agree. They don't have to waste their MLE on Garcia; they get a huge exception and they get a 1st rd pick. Not a great deal but better than nothing and if they want Garcia it's a good deal for them. It's also a good deal for the Rockets because we don't have to dump Smith or any other non guaranteed contracts. It allows us to keep or MLE and sign Canaan and Kostas to longer 3 year deals, locking in our bird rights on those guys and it frees up some extra cash for a resign on delfino or Billups. It's a really good deal for the Rockets cause it makes even more ready to contend for a title right away. And I suspect that is the kind of deal the Rockets will be presenting LA. If La don't sign then a deal for Greg Smith and Royce white should go down rather quickly and Houston just signs Howard right out. If Howard is coming to Houston the Rockets hold all of the cards here because they can say here is our offer if you are not interested we will sign Howard outright and you get nothing for him. That is why you here all these ridiculous deal with GS and LA. They don't want to walk away empty handed and are begging GS to come up with a deal they can swallow and they will SnT Howard to them. Only problem they forget to ask Howard if he would do it. And he hasn't told anyone he would. So they are just hoping and wishing and dreaming.
And he basically just said Dallas is better to spend time in than Houston. I knew there was a reason I no longer listen to sports radio.

Lol I didn't know the warriors were such a popular team. It's not that impossible that they could be in the mix of the 3-4 teams or so, IF they end up getting rid of what they need to. If they're going for more readers/viewers, propping up the Lakers as the favorites would be better.
I'd feel better if we heard some rumblings that the Rockets were in trade talks to get Smith. I personally think having Smith on the Rockets is key for Howard to sign here.
