It don't matter what GSW offered or that the Lakers will do a S&T. Only thing that matters is where Dwight wants to go. If Houston is his first choice then hell be a Rocket. If its not then Hey!! Who cares about GSW .. Dwight didn't want to be here in the first place. I got no worries. Rockets adding not subtracting.
Right so if LAL would only do a S&T with Barns along with Klay OR Curry + Bogut (which makes sense...the tax penalty that'd come with Bogut would have to make it worth their while and Barnes or Klay alone wouldn't be enough IMO)....the roster would be: D12 + Lee + Curry (others) + some cap space (about 10 mil) in 2014. OR D12 + Lee + Klay + Barnes (others) + some cap space in 2014 vs. D12 + Harden + Parsons + Asik (or whatever you believe DM could trade him for to upgrade). which is the better team with the better future?
that may be true, but the scarier question is, with how bad brussard's sources are. who is he sleeping with?
Up until about 10:00 PM CST last night, I had at least scrolled over every post in the 434 pages of this thread; wake up and I'm 50 pages behind. There's not enough coffee in the world to keep my record intact. There is an article in Bloomberg business this morning about how Dwight is a battle between Comcast and TimeWarner. It's interesting that they posted it, but the article doesn't really say anything we don't know. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2013-...y-pits-comcast-against-time-warner-cable.html
I think the other teams should be more worried about the Rockets than us being worried about the other teams. Part of it is just by waiting so long other people figure if they put a Dwight story they get hits so they put up whatever rumor they are hearing. Fact is that GS has to move contracts and Dallas has to move Marion. Only one team has made a pre-emptive move and that was Houston. So while we have the rubber on and are ready to penetrate the other teams are still fiddling around with the wrappers trying to figure out how to open it up.
Call me a homer but I'm going with Houston. Harden has no injury history, Parsons is only going to get better, and Asik is a very moveable asset. If you're Dwight do you really want your no.2 to be Curry given his glass ankles?
Thanks for the input guys. But I was wondering wouldn't he be making less in gsw? I believed I read that all they would be able to do is the 20milx 4 years and since its California he would make less than that. So why? If Texas yes its less than Lakers but comes out even after Tax. Where gsw would only be able to pull off the same as both Texas teams I believe and than it would end up less after cali tax?
That's correct. Don't remember the exact figure, but it was around 8 mil less due to the tax in Cali.
if GSW have deals waiting to move the 3 players without giving up the core, why havent they pulled the trigger if Howard gave them their word?? Cause He aint give them his word!! That GSW is his first choice!! Dwight is a Rocket!! The Barber told us So!!
