If he wants GS....why cant he just say so! Just let us cut bait and keep it moving. This isht aint hard man....if you're looking for an excuse NOT to sign with the Rox....you don't want to sign with the Rox....just admit it so we all can move the eff on!
Keep in mind, all 3 of these contracts they would have to move are expirings. It doesn't seem too hard to me to see a NBA exec of a team going nowhere carrying their deadweight for an unprotected #1. Of course they would have to accomplish this 3 times....
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>Again, <a href="https://twitter.com/search?q=%23Warrior&src=hash">#Warrior</a> insider thinks they'd offer Barnes, Bogut, No. 1. If they did, it wasn't enough…I'd guess <a href="https://twitter.com/search?q=%23Lakers&src=hash">#Lakers</a> asked for Klay and Barnes</p>— Mark Heisler (@MarkHeisler) <a href="https://twitter.com/MarkHeisler/statuses/353027157104140291">July 5, 2013</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
But they don't have the assets to do it IMO. What can they give up to shed those three and sign Dwight outright or shed two and make it worth the Lakers while to S&T Dwight? Barnes? Sure. A team that isn't going to hit the cap anyway would take 1 of those to get Barnes. Would they take 2 of them? Probably not. Even if they would take (and could do it) the two crap pieces in Jefferson and Biedrins to get Barnes, what is left to send to LA with Bogut? Terrible 1st round picks? Why would LA take that to make a rival much, much better and spend tons more on salary in 2013? I just don't see the assets available to get rid of all 3. If it was just Bogut and 1 of them? Maybe. Real long shot, but maybe someone takes Jefferson/Biedrins for a 1st rounder in 2014 and LA would take Barnes and Bogut with a future 1st. I really doubt the latter, but maybe. Doing all that and also getting rid of another of Jefferson/Biedrins would be shocking.
Got this feeling too, that GSW came in and really mucked this up. Dwight just needs to choose, I'm sure the patience of these teams are running out. If he wants Houston just choose, I wouldn't mind Morey giving him a ultimatum. "We have a Josh Smith deal we can get done but who knows how long that's going to last. All it takes is one team throwing up crazy money at him and he's going to go. So we need your answer by the end of Friday if you're with us or not." It may lose us Dwight, but I honestly wouldn't be mad at the Rockets for this. He's had a long time to think this over, and he's lying if he hasn't been thinking about it towards the end of the year too.
Three teams don't have the money available nor desire to do this. Why would you take on a contract for a late 1st round pick in 2016.
That's what I said earlier in the thread. If he really wants to be with the Warriors, then just say so. Let them deal with trading away the necessary contracts in order to clear cap space. Or if the Lakers are willing to do a S&T, even better. But let us(as well as the Mavs) move the hell on already. There are other free agent targets like Josh Smith out there we still have a shot at, but only if we're given some sort of answer ASAP.
Marc Stein is saying the Rockets have a 3rd team in a 3 way trade for Dwight and the Fakers. Lin and Asik as the packiage. interesting
There is a Lin for S&T Calderon chatters, and an Asik + Fillers for Josh Smith rumour. If you ask me, whether or not Detroit/Atlanta accepts these deal, I'd go ahead and trade these guys into the Eastern Conference than the Lakers since I'd hate to see some of the players I actually like play for the jacka** of team called the Lakers.
Obviously the Rockets have already spoken to Josh Smith, and there is a good reason why he hasn't already signed with another team like Detroit or returned to Atlanta. The Rockets would know damn well that Smith would or wouldn't sign with the Rockets by now, and probably have a deals lined up as well to strike if they sign Dwight. If they dont sign Dwight, I have a feeling the Rockets would back out of any proposed deals involving Josh Smith... just doesn't seem like the real plan B. He seems more like part of plan A.
Well, I think it's pretty obvious here. Dwight obviously does not want to go to Houston. It is clear now he wants to go to GSW. He is stalling, waiting for Warriors them to get rid of Jefferson, Bogut, and Biedrins.
