Even last year, this matchup seemed to be a rivalry in the making. I thought the Warriors were an afterthought for acquiring Dwight--they never seemed to inquired about him and just had a wildly successful playoff run. Plus, they don't have the outright cap space to sign him. However, Peter Vescey of the NY Post has reported (tweeted) that the Warriors have deals in place to move Bogut, Jefferson, and Biedrins...meaning they will be able to sign DH12 outright, without a sign and trade. From a talent perspective, the Warriors challenge the Rockets as the team ready to compete for a championship now (and, despite my homerism, I believe are the better fit right now for DH12). If the sign Dwight, do they become our biggest rival?
I don't know if they can, but if they do pull this off, they will immediately become the best team in the West.
they're not signing Dwight...period. they'd have to get rid of 3 guys to even afford an offer to come close to Houston. Even then, they would be depleted if D12 joins that team.
Golden State Might Steal The Show If the warriors can get rid of Bogut, Beidrins, and Jefferson the rockets could be on the losing end. Yall need to check the warriors roster. If they get Howard and sign him outright, they will have the starting unit and the bench already in place.
I hope we get Dwight but if we don't, I would love the see Curry and Dwight on the Warriors. That would be such an amazing duo to watch coming from a basketball fan in general. After CP3, Curry is probably the next best player to be paired with Dwight imo.
i really enjoyed watching the warriors last season, they are a fun matchup for the rockets, I would love to see them as a rivalry, the problem is do we want to be in a rivalry with a 5-8 seed? SA\OKC\LAC\HOU (homerism) are top 4 next season in the west.

As soon as ESPN puts out this information all Hell breaks out. I will wait to see what DH12 finally decides to do. I just knew this would drag out till the bloody last day.
