If this were true, they would have at least traded Jefferson and Biedrins a long time ago. Unless they are giving up real assets (basically only Barnes) they would position themselves with $8M to pursue other FAs and figure out Bogut if need be, but they don't have the assets to have someone take all 3 of those guys without killing their team.
Prepare ladies and gentlemen!!! We may have been infiltrated by the bad karma spreaders from other msg boards. Endure the....
And he's the worst defensive PG in the league after Nash that's why I find it hard to believe Dwight (who constantly complained about his guards giving up penetration in Orlando) is saying he would like to play with Jose. None of the Calderon stuff even remotely makes sense.
Sure they are. They have no additional first round picks outside of their own. They have their own 2014 pick and can then go 2016, 2018, etc. Harrison Barnes is a big carrot that could move some salary, but $30+ million? Sounds like a hollow threat to get the Lakers to do a sign-and-trade. Remember: There's no financial incentive for Dwight Howard to do a sign-and-trade. He can go to Houston or Dallas and sign outright. The Lakers don't have leverage in shopping sign-and-trade deals from the team that offers the best package. If he wants Houston, he signs with Houston. Only reason for a sign-and-trade is if the Rockets can't move Asik+Lin in another way to create the space for a Josh Smith. It just comes down to Dwight's choice. If he prefers Golden State, then it's complicated. Otherwise, the Lakers are at his mercy, in my opinion.
Lol smh im no bima, but it seems this thread is getting taken over by people who have absolutely no idea about how SnTrades work or Tax issues or Cap space or even what UNrestricted free agent means.
Lin would be a good fit in Detroit. He would pick the weak east teams apart running pick n roll with their bigs.
There aren't three teams in the league that will take on contracts of that magnitude for nothing. And a warriors 1st will not cut it.
You realize Pau's K is $19M, it is expiring, and he's coming off a major surgery (again) right? What do you expect he'll fetch on the market?
