"Teams below the salary cap may trade without regard to salary, as long as they don't end up more than $100,000 above the cap following a trade." I got it, tx. from wiki
I hope they don't lay down a guilt trip on him about leaving without his old team getting compensation.

Mark Heisler @MarkHeisler 1min Add GS problems: #D12 looks like he wants to announce soon--suggesting IMHO he's OK w/Houston--so #Warriors may only have day/two to do this YES!!!
The Hawks have rights to sign Teague if they want and just drafted Shroeder. They have no need for a PG and Lin would only be valuable as a potential asset to trade and in the short term make them better in 2014 and thus make their 2014 1st rounder worse when they likely would otherwise want to tank. You can take in up to 150%+100K in salary, unless you are sending out more than $9.8M and then it is the value of the salaries + $5M.
Daryl is the man. We all need to realize how fortunate we are to have a GM of his caliber. Truly a blessing for this franchise.

So this hypothetical third team is going to give draft picks to the Lakers while taking Golden State's *****ty contracts all so D12 can go to Golden State.....
Of course they would want a sign and trade... Question is what are the players LA wants and what players GSW are willing to let go... if LA can get Curry and Lee why not? doubt GSW is willing to let go of either... GSW giving up Curry or Lee or Thomson + Bogut... does not make them instant contenders even if you add Dwight H...
