Actually he would be a great fit on the team alongside Howard and Harden. Plus, if he would agree to a contract of $7M a year, or less, then the Rockets will easily (Olbrecht and Anderson waived) have the cap room to sign Dwight to the max. Then you could make a play for Smith (or LMA) as well with a package around Asik and Terrance Jones.
I think Detroit is just desperate to get a good solid pg for calderon... because he is leaving for nothing... Detroit is also looking at Jarret Jack right now...
DocRocket's tweet sure seems to indicate Dwight/Calderon.....assuming he knows what he's talking about.
Or maybe because Rockets would prefer more of a facilitating PG who can also shoot the ball well? Please stop giving this Kennedy guy publicity by posting his tweets. Hoopsworld = turrible.
This. If the Lakers are confident Howard is leaving, I would expect them to encourage discussions with GSW just to see what they can get in return, whether or not Howard has decided on GSW. And so we would see rumors or some evidence GSW is trying to move contracts. A S&T deal with GSW that keeps Curry in GSW is, in basketball terms, just as good (or better depending on who GSW has manning the four) for Howard as signing straight up with Houston. But if it is going to be GSW, I hope the Rockets get in in the feeding frenzy.
