Yes, I'm an Internet GM with all the moves I've suggested over the years totaling zero. not sure why you'd ever insinuate such a thing, but have at it. In the meantime, I'd love to hear the moves you think GSW will make to acquire Howard by not gutting the team. You seem to have a high amount of respect for the GM, so why don't you dive into that for us and explore the options. Oh, you don't know of any options? Then what are you talking about?
The Luxury tax gets me, you are right. I need real hard numbers to find out what the luxury tax would be if they amnestied Pau Gasol, and traded for Jefferson, Biedrins, and Bogut.
It could be that GSW just started acting on their own accord. A possibility, sure. But they have known the cap math for a long time now, so why start now and not before? So, the alternative to "no contact from Dwight" seems at least an equally reasonable scenario. No one is "putting him in a GSW uniform," at least not me. All I said was that it is plausible that Dwight may prefer GSW and that it is plausible that there may be a S&T that the Lakers would agree to. Never said it's 100%. But you people overreact anyway.
@AlexKennedyNBA: I'm told Dwight Howard and Jose Calderon are interested in playing together. Calderon may wait for Howard to make a decision before signing.
Really? I thought Clutch said the longest thread in Clutchfans was the Pau Gasol Trade which was 414 pages long...
To be fair, Wilt Chamberlain played most of his years with the Warriors and was his absolute most dominate with them. Also Nate Thurmond and Larry Smith also played with the Warriors.
It's either Houston or LA. I don't think Dwight would be announcing tomorrow if GS was still in it. They still would have to clear cap, and Dwight wouldn't announce his new team if GS still had to clear cap and perform a S&T.
