When Asik was on the court, our defense ranked, I think, 9th in the league. When he left it, we were somewhere around 29th, if memory serves. Hell, if LA amnestied Pau, and we could get him for a contract similar to Scola's with the Suns, that might be a different story. I'm looking at it from an "either or" perspective. That it would be Howard or Pau, because Howard signed elsewhere. Smith is apparently a target regardless, but possibly more of a target if we land Howard. That's the buzz, anyway.
So you know all the deals GSW are trying to work? I bet you didn't even think they would even be considered.
who the **** confuses Aspen with Houston tho. probably no one ever they should have never given you ppl a voice
I think he is just taking some time. He cant sign anywhere until the 10th. Everyone is guessing, but $ wise, and winning wise houston makes the most sense. Sure, it is not as beautiful as oakland, but if thats what dwight really cares about then his option becomes limited to the lakers and dependent on the warriors miraculously creating cap without giving up thompson and barnes.
Trying to verify that this was actually in Houston... It looks pretty bright outside at the time of the picture, which was posted 30 min ago. I'm thinking that the pic looks more like it's from Mountain Time (Colorado) rather than Central Time (Houston). Any other thoughts?
I think it's realistic. Houston needs to get Josh Smith for them to cement the deal IMO. Lakers could call on the phone and tell Dwight, hey you can sign with GS you can play with Barnes, Thompson, Curry and Lee. that's a pretty ferocious starting 5. And We get back expiring contracts in Biedrins, Jefferson, and Bogut and draft picks. 2 first rounders. That's pretty enticing the Lakers offered that. And the Lakers would get something back which are 2 first rounders.
