Howard signing with GSW will be the best birthday present for Omer. How to say "eff you, Houston" in Turkish?
Harden is one of the most lethal PnR players in the league, is a year younger than Curry and just had his first season as a starter. You are insane to conclude which duo is better.
James Harden is 23. I ain't got no worries. Dwight has the best oppurtunity to win here. We'll move on. Cap friendly deals FTW if we strikeout.
Those two together I can guarantee ain't winning anything. I just have never seen Dwight as a guy who is ever going to hoist the O'brien trophy.. that's what you guys want right? You got Harden.. what you need to do is enhance Harden.. Smith can run.. Harden and Co. Like to run.. Dwight don't run... he jogs down court. He's never really been a fast breaking type of center.
Would the Lakers be bold enough just to do a ST with Clippers or Warriors so that the Rockets don't get him. Clippers= ST for Blake Griffin and Dwight Howard? Warriors= If D12 is worried about GS losing assets. the Lakers could even compromise further and not ask for Barnes and Thompson. Just expiring contracts and draft picks. Rockets= I just don't see it, unless they get Josh Smith
Hillarious to see that every team has gotten serious run as being "the team that will definitely get Dwight." Even in this day/age of social media.... there is more misinformation than real information... thus making the accessibility to all these "insiders" more unproductive than useful.
WHy? When Houston probably told him he was there back up if Dwight didn't sign.. that was the rumor right?
http://espn.go.com/los-angeles/nba/...ed-salary-cap-space-dwight-howard-sources-say "Sources say the bigger threats to the Lakers, though, STILL appear to be Houston and Dallas unless Golden State can address its financial limitations."
I'm not saying they're a package, I'm just saying I don't think our pitch has as much weight without it. We made Dwight our primary concern, talked to him at 9:01, and we put Smith as a secondary. If we actually get Dwight it makes sense, but without him it seems like Smith is just a backup option. I don't see that sitting well with him...
It's funny, I considered Warriors to be the Rockets b****, the way we owned them so hard in the regular season. Now Golden State seems to be the favorites for Dwight.
I'm sure the Lakers are just wild about trading Howard to a division rival, one of them playing in their own building.
I would not talk about desperation but Morey seemed to have had urges to act in a illogical way when it comes to talent in the past Pre-Harden: Royce White, Terrence Jones(who still might work out though) Class of 2009 outside of Harden, minimal impact in Patterson, Morris,..... A lot of busts in the first rounds, and some moves actually smelled like desperation
