I think the Lakers don't want Dwight to go to Houston. They'd rather Dwight go to GOlden State. Klay Maybe Harrison Barnes, 1st rounder, and expiring contracts for Dwight Howard. Lakers get what they want which are draft picks and Golden State keeps their assets.

Lakers are not winning the deal outright, but they would achieve what they wanted. Future draft picks, expiring contracts to make room for future FA. GOlden State gets to keep their assets in SC and KT with D12 in the middle would be a pretty good team. I don't know if That is a championship team though.

Pau is a better player than Asik.. for what you guys need. He can pass.. catch the ball and shoot a little bit.. hits his free throws. At this point in his career he's a center full time.

Pau is past his prime. Atlanta should just do a ST with Josh Smith to Houston for Asik and Lin. IMO. That actually might get Dwight to go to Houston.

    No desperation either way.

As long as Morey doesn't panic if Dwight chooses another team, I'm good.

With Landry, Jack, and one of Klay/Barnes/Curry + Bogut gone that is no longer a fact.

Because he doesn't speculate or make **** up when he isn't hearing anything. It is obvious there are no leaks coming from Howard's camp, so there is nothing to really report.

There should be nothing new here. Of course GS is attractive to Dwight if he gets to play with Curry, Thompson, Barnes and Lee. Of course he would consider it as an option as any sane person would.

None of that means he still does not covet Houston and playing with Harden, Parsons etc... Particularly if DM has a sign and trade lined up for Josh Smith.

Furthermore I don't think GS is as attractive without either Barnes or Thompson which if a S&T with LAL is to happen they are certainly going to demand one.

Come on.. Smith is going wherever the money is.. those two aren't mutually a combo package.

    CYBERX is the real deal.....

I hope warriors don't shed that salary

But how should we feel, if we were Dwight's 2nd.

He better hurry up and just choose before everyone hates him( including the team that gets him)

To he honest it was a completely different scenario. We should not compare the two, but I guess if dwight wanted to be here then he would already be here.

I think he has it narrowed down to one or two teams and he is waiting to see what GS does. Why not weigh all of his options? He has time.

Have some dignity people! Think how much we've laughed at LA fans for how they have been freaking out over on LG. You don't think Warrior and Lakers fans are watching this thread in the same way? Don't let them see you sweat.

This team is going to be good either way. Losing out on Dwight would be a huge disappointment, but think of the youth of this team, the chemistry of it, how fun it is to watch -- and also think about Daryl Morey with 19 mill of cap space to work with! Dang, right? He'll rob cash strapped teams for a year and then get a great player next offseason -- or he'll do something none of us can imagine.

So...calm down, Dwights still probably going to come here...and if he doesn't, we are going to have a roster to make him wish he would have.

Sure if they want to pay up to $45,000,000 in luxury tax payments.

lmao it's funny.. People were saying if Dwight chooses Lakers over Houston he doesn't care about winning he cares about money, but when the Warriors came up they bring up the point of him making less money than anywhere else.

Fact of the matter is, Houston and Golden State are both winning destinations. And if the Warriors can unload all their garbage for nothing... They deserve him.

Pau WAS a better player than Asik. One is young and improving...the other is not..and is due to earn $19 million this season. No thank you.
