Howard camp still hasn't admitted that he asked for SVG to get fired. A lot of things get said without direct statement.
Yes, I remember when we blew all those crucial games down the stretch and couldn't even beat a Westbrookless OKC. Maybe that's what DH sees.
Dwight is not going to GS. There's way too many obstacles in their way to get the necessary cap room.
the choice is probably going to shock everybody. could it be the Dallas Mavericks/Clippers THe Rockets don't make sense for a few reasons. 1. McHale is a PNR spread the floor kind of coach. Dwight needs touches. Don't know if McHale will get D12 enough touches. McHales does not have the cred that Carlye has. 2. Will the ROckets be committed to go over the salary cap year in and year out to keep their stars. WIll Les Alexander bite the tongue and spend luxury tax dollars to keep competing for a Championship? I don't know. 3. Howard, probably doesn't think that Parsons and Harden are enough to win at this point. Even though Dwight probably likes Lin from a personal standpoint, he knows very little about his basketball game to make an judgement of his B-ball skills. I think come friday, D12 will shock everybody and make an unexpected decision. that is my gut feeling. D12 to the Rocks with JLin at the PG running the show. Harden dominating the perimter and Howard holding the fort at the interior would be a show worthy of sell-outs. But there are underlying issues that Dwight is probably thinking about Houston at this point. I hope I'm wrong. And for insurance I am jinxing myself so that My prediction is wrong.
Dwight Howard - C - Lakers The Warriors are aggressively shopping Andrew Bogut, Richard Jefferson and Andris Biedrins to clear cap space for Dwight Howard. Those three players are on expiring deals and make a whopping $34 million combined. Biedrins at $9 million and Jefferson at $11 million will be extremely tough sells for the Warriors to teams that are under the cap while Andrew Bogut at $14 million will be no small feat either. The Warriors are believed to have made a strong impression on Dwight, so while they might not be the favorite like the Rockets, they certainly have a legitimate shot in signing him. Kawakami: How the Warriors could land Dwight Howard Warriors, preparing for a yes from Dwight Howard, trying to nix the Lakers from the equation
And we may. In other words, we don't know wtf is gonna end up happening. You can gauge what's likely or not though.
Anyone think D12 is giving time to allow the Houston, GS and Dallas time to make any necessary moves to make their destination more appealing? Maybe that is why we have heard about Houston and Atlanta discussing a S&T for Josh Smith. Maybe at the end of the night GS calls Dwights camp and says "OK we have a S&T in place with the Lakers but are giving up Barnes". DM calls Dwights camp and say's "We have a S&T in place to bring in Josh Smith to play with you, Harden and CP25" Who knows what is going to happen but I'm guessing D12 is playing the waiting game so he can see which situation is best for him.
I'm still a few pages behind, but I just want to stop here and point out that the "insider" info you posted is not consistent with Stein's report. I'm sure someone else has pointed it out by now, but just in case....
Because a game at the end of the season is worth 1.5 wins when compared to games earlier in the season, right?
Oh, and I now fully believe cyberx is a legit person with actual inside info. Pretty sure he said some of the things ESPN is currently reporting a few days ago? And yeah, Dwight's giving the Warriors time to shed some cap.
