I don't understand why GS would be a better fit from winning perspective if they have to gut their team to get him. Barnes and Thompson were big part of their success along with Jack and Landry. Jack is a UFA and Landry is already gone. If they give up One of HB or KT they are not left with much. Don't know how that makes more sense to Dwight than Houston. But then again, why would GS all of a sudden try to dump contracts? Has to be an indication from Dwight's camp. Just hope this ends tomorrow either way.

Everyone kept saying that about the trade of Dwight to LA and it happened. Heck, even WOJ said HOU was a "when not if" destination. We are "absolutely" going to pull off the trade. Then bam, he's traded to the Lakers. IF Dwight wants to go to GS and the only thing stopping it is the Lakers not being willing to do a S&T, then it's game over. That will get done. One side or the other will blink and find a way to make it work. Once Dwight tells everyone he wants to go to GS, teams would get involved in multi team deal that landed him there in S&T and got players like Bogut on a team other than the Lakers.

I don't think GS is a better fit. The only thing that GS has going for them is better shooting and apparently thug coach Mark Jackson. 1. If he goes to GSW he will be the most hated man in California. 2. Worst financial scenario possible for him. 3. Steph Curry is a badass but hasn't always been durable. 4. James Harden is better than Curry. Parsons is better than Thompson. Tired of well over a year of waiting on Dwight and talking about Dwight. If he was coming here, it would have been leaked already IMO. This whole addiction is just really starting to bother me. Can't stop checking in.
They'll end up pulling off a sign & trade where the Lakers get a player like Barnes and a pick and then Bogut or some other contract goes elsewhere. They'll still be able to re-sign Jack that way.

Matt Jackson already said that. Too bad this information isn't only coming from ESPN. ESPN was also "manufacturing" Dwight to LA last year when everyone "knew" that the only team that "made sense" was the Rockets.
If this drags out any longer it's because Dwight wants to go to a team where only a S&T will be possible.
