I think over time Lin will become a very good player in this league, possibly even a borderline all-star. He has the physical tools and the work ethic. That, combined with his huge marketing appeal, is reason enough for the Rockets to keep him and I hope they do. But unfortunately it looks like he is almost a dead man walking at this point. If he does get traded and is given a features role on another team, I expect him to put up pretty big numbers.

    Insert mind blown gif.

Context my friend. Harden is the focus of every teams defensive strategy. Just look at Hardens numbers his last year in OKC when he had the luxury of being the third option and so much less focus put on him from the opponents defense. His efficiency was otherworldly.

At best he would be kyrie irving, a good player on a trash team. And that is AT BEST.

Ok, you're right, he can totally average more points than Dwayne Wade and assists than John Stockton. Disregard my entire post and the reason I made it, please! How could I be so blind? :)cool:)

Very Good post , but one point , go check lin's history of when fate calls for him to be the first option. Knicks games without carmelo , rockets without harden.
    Rock solid proof .
But it doesn't mean that harden/lin backcourt is doomed.
Actually if you look at the knicks games it took awhile but eventually lin and melo meshed.

I think it's not just them being new to the sports, it's to internet forums too. They wouldn't know the decorum that we've been accustomed to. Using good decorum would be much better than trolling them IMHO.

Sure it can get annoying but it's not like they are the only ones who post unrealistic stuff.

    I don't think he's utter trash or a failure. I honestly believe he'd be a great 6th man.

Well, first of all, I hope the "you" doesn't mean me because I don't think I have ever done any of that.

So does "you" mean all Lin fans? LOFs? Lin fans who had done, "start shifting undeserved blame or hating on other team members"?

As long as it isn't all Lin fans I'm fine with that.

The guy said on a "crappy team", Jlin can easily put up 25/12.

The 12 might be a bit much night after night but 25 is not out of reach.

The reason it's not far fetch... he did it so many times.... when he's the primary option.

Yes. 25 is out of reach no matter what team he is on. Just go back and look year by year at point per games leader and if you still honestly believe what you are saying then there is no hope for you.

Very good points but it seems to me it's the ABJs and Lin Haters that are the most maniacal and obnoxious ones. It's one thing to be annoyed at over zealous fans, it's another to continuously start hate threads or constantly post hate filled messages.

I liken it to teenagers because their brains are still forming and are very much trying to understand their place in the world. You have the hormone engulfed ones who idolize artists, movies and sports stars. These teenies get over passionate about things, start writing love poems and what not, and are generally annoying. These teens are analogous to LOFs or Lin Fans.

The other type of teenie are the high school bullies. The kids that are usually a bit dim, come from the wrong side of the tracks, have gone through some trauma in their lives. They hate everyone and the world, thinknof themselves as rebels, and usually take solace in their gangs and with teens of a similar nature. These teenies are very much like the ABJs and Lin Haters.

Both groups will eventually grow up realize their foolishness but how can I deal with them in the meantime? I would ignore the LOFs and tell them to get a room. I would discipline the LOHs by pointing out the error of their ways and punish them if need be. As a Clutchfan, this translates to ignoring the LOFs (you have an ignore list) and flaming the LOHs. For me personally, LOHs are far more annoying because they seem so much more dim witted, and I do take pleasure in ******* with them.

Anyways, I don't think Lin will get traded this off-season and the way his contract is structured probably means he's with us for the next two years. These idiots are likely to be with us for that long too so I hope the rest of you can find a happy medium to continue to enjoy the forum.

Yea as a lin fan yea i found the thread abit cringe full and a bait, but i think it was a response to the getting posterized thread. Who started this thread? Anyway no shame for him playing in this game , looks like he was practicing his 3 pointer.

Hey king1 and company , i am finding these battles exhausting , can we keep future 'discussions' in context of what good has come out of it? If lin stays with the rockets.

    This.

Internet attracts posters from all walks of life....not everyone is on the same page.

You can disagree or challenge the post by posting facts/stats to counter the argument but one should stay away from personally degrading the poster. And there's no need to get riled up about someone's post....you can always disagree in a manner that is not offensive.

    +1

Probably a very bad team like one made up of Fields, Novak, Jeffries and Chandler but didn't they have like a ten games winning streak or something like that? Sure it's not sustainable but it's really not that bad. If there's a team constructed around him then it's even better.
