To tell you the truth I would not be surprised one little bit. He loves the attention he is getting. He is eating it up big time. That would at least indicate his back is healthy though.

I don't see how GS can get under the threshold. Carl Landry is gone but they still have to renounce Jarrett Jack because he is an extra 8.1 million against the cap.

Assuming they renounce JJ they still have 3 cap holds.

I'm not sure who exactly would be willing to take Andrew Bogut, Andris Biedrins or Richard Jefferson when each are at 10 million or more for this season. Getting rid of all of them still them and taking back no salary is almost impossible. I don't see the Lakers helping them with a S&T.

People are exploding regardless of decision. Doesn't necessarily mean it'll be happy exploding.... Even though I see no way Dwight chooses another team.

I think it is you that is wrong for claiming that the Warriors need to first drop first $20.5M before doing a sign-n-trade. The CBA allows teams to do a sign and trade as long as their final cap is below the tax apron:

In a hypothetical Dwight Howard trade scenario that sends Bogut/Barnes to the Lakers, this is what the Warriors cap would look like:

    • Howard - $20.5M
    • Lee - $13.9M
    • Jefferson - $11M
    • Biedrins - $9M
    • Rush - $4M
    • Curry - $9.9M
    • Thompson - $2.3M
    • Ezeli - $1.1M
    • Green - $0.9M
    • Bazemore - $0.8M
    • Jones - $1.1M
    • Macahado - $.8M

Total: $75.3M, which is under the tax apron of $75.6M.

So am I the one who doesn't know what he's talking about? Because that's what you, Cat, and Red Dynasty have been saying. Or maybe it's all three of you that don't understand the CBA? If it's me, then please correct me by all means. I don't take offense to people correcting me if I misunderstood the CBA.

If there's something off in my calculations above, let me know.

That puts the tax apron at $74.3M. The difference isn't significant enough to prevent a trade. Warriors would need to waive their 12th man and apply the stretch provision.

That's 12 players but you still have 3 roster spots so that's about 1.5 million (76.8 million total cap) in cap holds unless the NBA only requires 12 roster spots to be filled.
