I don't listen to hip-hop and maybe its because I just got these amazing v-moda headphones, but it sounds pretty cool.
Damn.. This is the best I've heard Hovi in a hot minute The most wordplay he's utilized since American Gangster And pretty much every beat KNOCKS Applaud this man
The second beat and his flow on Picasso is ol' school Hov =-O Someone tell me why the hardest hitting beats are only interludes!!!! Holy Grail =-O Oceans =-O Somewhereinamerica =-O Heaven =-O Part II =-O
Haven't listened to it yet, but this is probably due to Timbaland. He has gone overboard with the interludes. Just listen to 20/20 Experience to find out.

I know the reception for this album is good.. but honestly, I'm kinda disappointed. I feel like Jay was lazy. Lyrically, this has got to be one of the weakest albums, but beat-wise, I think it's solid. I'm just upset, because Jay is one of the best of all-time, and I'm let down at how little he put into the words. I listened through it 3 times today, but it's not as solid as in the past.
Agree, lyrically Jay hasn't been up to par in a very long time. I thought he was good on Watch The Throne though.
"I dumbed down for my audience and doubled my dollars" "Truthfully I wanna rhyme like common sense but I did 5 mil I haven't been rhyming like common since"
Hovi is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. These rappers pretty much all suck and I don't get the continued fascination with them. There doesn't seem to be any difference to me between "The Hovi" and that guy on the board that does his own hip hop and was on Friday Night Lights. At least that guy is original. "The Hovi" has nothing on Bob Dylan.
/\ /\ Then GTFO! No one here's claiming this form of music's better than the Beatles and Led Zeppelin. Kinda like Twitter app and any other data mining app. Except this one's music doing. Yeah thats what I said earlier, the interludes hit hard then don't even go anywhere
Never understood the hate hip hop/rap receive. Music is music no matter the "genre". I challenge you to produce a record, and spit some bars on it and see how hard rapping really is.
I did. Listening to the album right now through the app while reading the lyrics also through the app. It did take an hour to get the download Wednesday night though.
