What happened to you man. You actually were a decent poster for a while. Now almost everything out of your mouth is vomit. This is a Rockets board and it makes the Rockets seem more desirable also. Quit acting like a troll. Ppat's gone let it go.
You're RIGHT! OH WAIT Golden State has NO CAP SPACE to do with the Bucks and Suns did! So yes they send out player - but what team will want to take on Bogut for 1 year and what team would want to take on Rush? Golden State would have to dump even more future picks to those teams to entice them to give up anything of value to accept that blatant salary dump of a deal I knew COMMON SENSE would somehow foil your ideas again - sorry it has a habit of doing that
Please show me where I said that... I'll wait. I simply clarified his post since there were still some people wondering why the Lakers would take on Bogut and Rush, rather than retain cap space.
We're reading what he wrote just fine. We're saying it doesn't matter that a deal is technically possible with Bogut + Rush + picks. Just because you put a trade into ESPN's trade calculator as it says the trade succeeds doesn't mean both teams would accept it. They have no reason to take Bogut & Rush, and Golden State doesn't have valuable picks to offer.
Why would he back to that relic of a team roster. They aren't going to win anything, and he would waste a year of his prime on the dream of playing with LeBron.
Why would the Cavs want injury-riddled Bogut, and why would they be willing to give up a 1st rounder for him?
Objectively, the Warriors are a great fit for Dwight. Objectively, they can offer a S&T that is better for Lakers than letting him walk. Just stating the facts.
Yes, some people are reading it fine. Still others were arguing about the LAKERS taking Bogut and Rush, not other teams. I did not say I thought it was feasible - just pointing out to the several people who were talking about those 2 going to the Lakers that wasn't what he said. Nothing more, nothing less. I do hope you are right re: other teams not being willing to take them on.
Again. Please share your sources. Where did you see this deal? See, this is what happens. Someone posts a hypothetical trade (nothing wrong with that) and then someone else shares it on another site without qualifying it properly. Members on that site then start debating the merits of the "deal". Next, someone on Real GM starts a thread about the deal that's being discussed over on Clutchfans. Someone tweets it out and suddenly the story has legs. So again, I'm not debating the merits of your post and it's contents. My problem is that you represent it as a "deal" that's being discussed. It's fine to treat it as a random trade idea, but that's not what you are doing. If you don't appreciate the difference in an idea and a reported deal, you should contemplate that for a bit. Either share with us your source or stop cluttering the board with random chatter.
Sources close to the situation! Multiple sources: Chances the statement made by Kobe helps the Lakers land Dwight? Talking to people close to Dwight, it could hurt their chances of keeping him. I've been told that will be a complete turn off if that's indeed what Kobe said. These are anonymous sources saying Kobe said this. If he did indeed say this in the meeting, I've been told that those who have known Dwight for years that it will be a complete turn off. These people who I have talked to have not spoke to Dwight since the meeting. This is not coming from him but he feels he knows how to win. ... He feels like he understands how to win. This isn't the first time Kobe has said this. That's Kobe number one. That's been his attitude. He said it in different words to Dwight since they have been together as teammates in Los Angeles and that has been a source of tension between them throughout this past season. If he stays in LA, what will be different? They did go 28-12 over the second half of the season. Mike D'Antoni did make some tweaks and as the players got healthier, they did play better. The problem is Nash is 39 years old. He's not getting better. Kobe is coming off an achilles injury with 17 years of baggage and over 200 playoff games. He's not getting better. He'll probably start declining. Pau Gasol or Metta World Peace will probably be amnestied. Its not like this is a young team. Who is the front runner? I would say right now Houston or Dallas. I'd say Houston but Dallas is in the hunt. The Lakers are not out of it but they do have ground to make up. They did make a good presentation, in terms of marketing and financial benefits off the court. They have a shot but I would say one of the Texas teams is more likely at this point. Pick one, he's going where? Texas. (Haha gotchya!) I'll say Houston but I think Dallas has a shot.
Crazy how the board can turn on you in an instance. Your stance on PPAT did get repetitive but overall you still provide objective analysis.
