If Dwights handlers are smart they would of gone into their Rockets meeting like this....

"So your pitching me on your asian connection? Where is Jeremy Lin? Wasnt he your big signing last year before Harden?"

"Last year I felt misused in our system with the Lakers. How do I know you are really going to cater to my skill set? What happened with Jeremy Lin, I mean Im sure he didnt sign on to stand at the three point line and get railed after good games by the coach."

    Finally

"Let me get this straight. You cut Lin, signed him back, misused him positionally and are now shopping him again? Your selling a commitment to me and changing your offense to fit me and integrity from your organization. How does this speak of the Rockets? I mean are all your players "ASSETS" or do you want me to believe your believe in your players?"

who would you want to replace Lin would be the first question. secondly, Lin is only 24 years old. He actually not a terrible deal compared to other contracts in the NBA. I remember luis Scola's contract was an albatross that Houston had to pay.

I'm not angry at his contract; I just don't it want in factoring into our cap situation. We agree that Lin's situation changed once Harden was brought aboard and it made him expendable as he doesn't fit the offense we currently run nor the one we'll run with Howard. He's not a spot up shooter and I don't blame him for that.

Yes, suggesting Lin would average 25/12 is beyond bad. I don't think words can express how stupid that post is. The people who said those things were ridiculed too. Look at how coachbadlee is now postbaldy or a criety of other takes on his username. LOFs are the worst I've seen in sports to be honest. That's not saying all his fans are idiots but the examples on this board speak for themselves. His fanbase far exceeds any of the other guys you've mentioned

It's significant because many LOFs were using the report that Lin's influence in the China market mattered. If the Rockets or Howard felt that was the case he would have been in the meeting. Steve Nash was part of the Lakers meeting and he barely played last season

Holy crap. Had no idea we had the best PG in league history on our team. If only we would use him right.

Another eejit who probably only started watching the NBA after last year February.

You just basically claimed Lin is the GOAT PG.

I think Lin will mesh really well with Howard like in Orlando and Lin's 3 is improving also. It's a mistake to trade Lin before they can play together.

~lol~ again at trying to turn this statement:
into my belief of something erroneous.

~lol~ again at manufacturing facts. When did I say anything like that? It's a business, anyone is movable except for top five players in their prime on a contender.

~lol~ again at being an extremist. Don't hate the player hate the game. If the Rockets didn't pay him that amount who was going to play PG? He would still be a Knick. That's how restricted free agency works. Perhaps without the plan to get Lin, they wouldn't have traded Lowry and we wouldn't get Harden. Don't hate, appreciate. Lin is a young player with upside and good work ethics, who possesses elite speed, court vision and unselfishness. Just because you hate him doesn't mean it doesn't make any sense to have him paid 8 mil a year.

Way to over-generalize. Just because one Lin fan posts an opinion that you don't agree with doesn't mean you should hate all Lin fans. Quality of this board has certainly gone down.

You mean the one the coaches decided to run or unable to stop players from running? I mean, it wasn't bad but I imagine it could have been better. Lin didn't do that bad at the end actually, shooting 40% from downtown.

Well, we don't know what they will run with Howard. Perhaps Lin could play the Nelson role? Who knows?

It can't be LOFs overrate and LOHs underrate. It has to be LOHs have all the facts right while LOFs are always wrong. How the fork do you know for sure that wouldn't happen? (not that it's my belief that it would) Quit the hate, get a life, leave dem homers alone.

You have over 1k posts in a few months. Perhaps you may want to look in the mirror when it comes to "getting a life".

This is always the response when someone points out a terribly ridiculous Lin post, but it's never the same people. The denial of the existence of a good number of these ridiculous posters really baffles me. There are a bunch.

Nope. There are way more "MAN I WILL BE SO HAPPY WHEN ALL THE LIN LOVERS ARE GONE" posts than these "terribly ridiculous" pro-Lin posts.

Most of the Lin bandwagoners are gone for the offseason. They have no reason to whine about McHale and Harden when games aren't being played. I'm sure they'll be back, but they aren't very important so I don't understand why people like you insist on talking about them.

You're reading comprehension is really poor or you're simply not that intelligent. I'll go with the latter
