I'd guess the phone lines are burning up between Houston and Atlanta and Dwight and Josh. Getting a SNT deal done could be THE thing
You mean having someone you hate, sit in a room with you are arrogantly belittle you and tell you are a loser wasn't appealing? Who knew...
Man news is coming out that DH really didn't like LA pitch as in Kobe being straight forward. Dallas just lost out on a FA who was supposed to be waiting on DH. I'm in class but from what I'm seeing teams are dropping like flies
It seems to make the most sense overall to go to the lakers. I even think Dantoni is not as big of a problem, since the Lakers can just fire him later this year. Kobe is the biggest problem for Dwight. Had the Lakers amnestied KObe, I actually think Dwight would have stayed a Laker. Now, I'm not so sure. Harden is over-rated as a B-ball player. Parsons is a nice glue guy and Asik is good at getting rebounds. Lin is the X-factor here really. If Dwight believes in Lin, he would go to Houston. If he doesn't believe in Lin, the Rocks will have to get Josh Smith in a sign and trade.
Except Jefferson going to Dallas may have been contingent on Dallas not getting Howard, so it could be a bad sign for us.
Yeah, but I see Dallas rebuilding if they lose out on Dwight. Al Jeff is an odd fit in that strategy. Plus I doubt they were willing to pay the $14 mil the Bobcats just forked over. Could be that Al Jeff saw a major pay-day and realized that he could look for his ring 2 years from now. Wouldn't read too much into it.
Or Cuban is smart enough to not pay Al J ~13 mill a year. He definitely isn't going to before he hears from Dwight.
Stein is saying it's simply because Charlotte upped their offer. As I said earlier in this thread, Dwight will be getting close to the time where teams start getting frustrated and impatient....other teams are making their moves and his indecision is holding things up. Also if he wants to play with Josh Smith he should make his decision before the Hawks make some other move for a center and then they may not even want Asik.
That's assuming that Kobe didn't know exactly what he was doing, a very sneaky passive aggressive way of showing Dwight the door while pretending to do everything possible to recruit him.
