Been posted before. However, I'd love to know how they're posting this from the future?: Report: Kobe challenged Howard in Lakers talks by Matt Moore | NBA writer July 4, 2013 1:59 PM ET

It's funny, because Kobe knows that winning is all about having a star big man at his side on a deep team, more than anything having to do with Kobe himself. Welcome to Houston, Dwight.
I'm with Kobe on this one. Howard needs to stop trying to make the right descision, but should make the descision right over time. That means adjusting, learning, and growing. In this case, if he ever wants to be a true leader, he should stay. On the Rockets he will NOT gain leadership skills. It's his life, though. Afterall, some of us just want to play video games, have a few baby momas, have fun, and perhaps win a ring on the side as bonus.
you guys think this is a good thing? what happens when McHale or Harden challenge him to step up? He'll get pissy and fold.
I think that is a strong and powerful pitch by Kobe. We are talking about a guy with 5 rings, a guy who is highly regarded as one of the greatest players to play the game period. It isn't what Dwight wants to hear BUT it is something that will make him think.
The first thought that came to mind when I first saw this was I think Kobe is being a little selfish here. He wants to win another ring but he knows that his time is limited so his best chances of winning another title is Dwight. I mean, you have this 27 year old stud who's dominant at his position and he's at your doorstep. Kobe might be thinking he's doing this for Dwight's best interest but in reality it might just be Kobe's. So I can understand why Dwight might be put off by this. I guess 5 rings will do that to you.
