Anyone else notice that the prices for season tickets increased about 4% today? No mini plans available. To purchase season tickets on line, you must enter your Houston area zip code to be able to select season tickets. This is new....

Yup, they've gone up. They're selling lower corner seats now for what I paid for club seats last week. They were cheaper the week before I bought, so I'm guessing they'll continue to increase, particularly depending on Friday's outcome.

I think it has more to do that were as good as we were and they finally have a product out there that people want to go pay and see.

Can't imagine the already high premium prices for those lakers, heat type teams.

they need to focus on filling the seats at the prices they were last season before you talk raising prices. Some of the home games last season were pretty empty.

Don't mind the increase in price, that comes with a team's success. What I do mind though is I can't watch the games on my TV

That's the bad part about being a good team. Hopefully I can still find some stellar deals on stubhub.

If the CSN mess didn't happen I bet that place would of been packed every game after Christmas.

I know I refused to buy tickets having to deal with the BS of the games not being on tv

What success? Did prices increase in 08-09 with Artest or after the WCSF?

And I, as someone who went to several games and was able to move down closer at half, thank you.

Yeah, what success? 8th seed out in the first round? Ooooooh we've got ourselves a hot ticket! Nevermind the empty seats, raise those prices!

I see this misconception all the time on this board. Most of the empty lower deck seats are sold to corporations. Houston has the 2nd most Fortune 500 companies in the US, second only to NYC. It has more than twice as many as 3rd place (dallas). Companies like Exxon, Continental, etc buy tickets in bulk and then give them out to employees & clients. A lot of these seats remain empty because people dont attend the games, are at the bar, or are attending to business matters elsewhere.

The Rockets can raise ticket prices because these companies will purchase them regardless. It's a poor showing when the lower deck looks completely empty on tv, but those seats have been paid for.

Then give those companies other seats, who cares if they're paid for. Once you get Dwight, people will come!
