McHale never quit on his team. Dwight quit in the playoffs. He couldn't take his beating like a man when they were getting spanked by the Spurs, so he got himself ejected and left his teammates out to dry. I dont remember McHale telling the management the team needs to be built around him. He wasnt worried he wasnt getting as much shine/attention as Larry legend. As Phil Jackson said in his book....the attitude must be "we're great, they're not" as opposed to "i'm great, he's not." Right now Dwight more interested in the I than we.
ok i been gone for a few hours cause i needed a drink after all day of waiting and rumors...did i miss anything?
things like this are why i never browse there. They really truly believe Kobe is like God of the NBA and LA is the only city that matters in the entire world. It's really sad how delusional these guys are.
Please remember that the overwhelming majority of replies represent only a small fraction of CF readers. For the record, I'm not buying any of the rumors and "inside scoops", none of them, and my position still stands. Unless the Lakers do a S&T, I think Dwight is coming to Houston. A few days ago, I figured he'd stay in LA, but I think the Kobe "pep talk" really helped our cause. On the other hand, if Dwight goes to Dallas, or stays in LA, no big deal. The Rockets will be fine as long as they don't panic and over pay J Smith or toss money at Bynum. There is always 2014, and all it takes it one stupid GM to make the mistake of picking up the phone when Morey calls him. In short, and call me a homer, I think Dwight needs the Rockets more than the Rockets need Dwight. He'd be a nice pickup, but it won't be the end of the world if he signs somewhere else.
Good catch. But after all the team had done with you all season and fatigue mentally. Do you think there is ever a limit on what we can do? I can envision myself in a situation like that and did the same thing. Honestly, I just want to land Dwight and have the old Dwight back playing ball.
Mchale didn't get ejected for clothes lining a guy, Dwight got ejected for pushing off with his elbow, the rules were a little different ya know....
It is painful and tiring for both the rockets and their fans, but for what we've already achieved in the post-yao era, it's worth it.
Dude, gifs are awesome when used correctly, but you're just finding random ass things to pollute this thread now...
Dwight's taking his time to make it seem like it was a tough desicion to leave LA. He's been about Houston since the all-star break.
