That would be the second most bizarre twist in sports history. The most bizarre twist already happened last year, when Dwight Howard opted into an additional year of Dwightmare at Orlando... two months before he was supposed to hit free agency. Nothing that happens this summer could possibly top that plot twist. If Dwight signs with the Mavs, it would just be Dwight being predictably unpredictable.
