LOL is right. if this is true it's all but in the bag. DHo doesn't need Bryant to teach him s h i t. He already can see bryant's formula. Play along side another superstar in his prime. That would not be Kobe. In spite of all of his scoring stats, Kobe does not instill team basketball. Kobe does not play the game the way it needs to be played. He is only going to get less athletic every year. And he has no intention of ever running an offense around Dwight. Dwight knows that and that is why he quietly sat in that meeting when Kobe vomited self indulgent crap from his mouth. "Yeah, yeah Kobe I learned all I need to learn from you in less than 1 year. If I want to win I need to be around young talent that wants to utilize my skills as opposed to over hill talent that wants me too to play d and shut up." The best pitch for the Rockets was given by Kobe yesterday. Done deal wrap it up.

We don't necessarily believe that, but I am pretty shocked that you were able to send such a clear and concise message through smoke signals.

Why would howard be interested in Dallas? What can Cuban offer Dwight?

He can't sell him on the team. Dirk is old and past his prime. That leads me to believe that he's got something else to offer him, something huge that we dont know about.

Maybe that was Kobe's intent. That way he can jack as many shots as he wants. Maybe he's figured out that he can have a chance for ring number six or a chance to be the all time NBA scorer, but not both, and he's choosing the scoring title over another championship.

I grew up in Billings, spent my college days in Missoula, and my first out of college job was in Great Falls. So I've been all ove the vast state.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I will certainly be hitting F5 nonstop while waiting for this guy to ear-hustle on his way to his dad's!

This is what happens when we give the pitch first. The momentum of others blinds the truth. We are still in GREAT shape, nothing has changed...people need to be patient.

I agree and I would bet he ain't talking to Kobe or Nash. Out of Respect Parsons has shut it down for now. But like you said Howard is most certainly talking to his preferred team even if it is just to double check.

Lots of reports of Harden and Parsons and Howard texting and talking. Reports of ex-trainers being hired. What hve we heard on the other side. One tweet from Nash, a couple of huge billboards and a stupid meeting where Kobe says you need to learn how to win a championship and I can teach you.

HaHa, before that I would have said it's between LA and Houston. I thought LA was going to bring it all on the table and say this is your team and we will bring in your coach and surround you with players to enhance your game. Instead they said you need to grow up and learn how to play with me(Kobe). Ha Ha! I now feel confident to say it is no longer between Houston and LA but rather Houston and anybody else but LA.

i like dwight but i have no faith in him. Lakers trying to blind him with off court action, kobe sayin " i will teach you to be a champ" even though they play 2 different positions smh, Every is blowing smoke up his real end but houston bought guys that are still active with the organization while magic and kareem or even phil were no shows. Dwight cares to much about an image that means nothing. He isnt leaving the lakers bottom line. If he chooses another team then kudos to him, but his track record of uncertainty speaks loudly about his worth.

What's the most pages a thread has gone on clutchfans?

The only pure Dallas has is that in 2014, they have cap space to go after tons of FA to Dwight's choosing. Dirk will be back for cheap. But this is going to be a huge risk since no one knows what's going to happen between now and next summer. Am I to understand that Dallas doesn't even have cap space to give Dwight the max?

can someone refute the possibility of him going to dallas? i've been fearing this since day 1.

man, this ish pisses me off..

i think more it's that now it's houston vs. dallas rather than us just getting dwight.

you won't believe how many people are gloating to me about how dallas is bound to get him...

    please...

I don't know about that...but it could be another full day or so before his announcement.

I bet if there is a "Dwight is a Houston Rocket!" thread it won't be as big as this one though. People will just post how excited/happy they are and then there will be several other break off threads. "Can this team make the finals?" "Can Dwight work with Lin?" etc etc depending on other moves that are made.
