If the reports were accurate of Howard not being a fan of Bryant's hard-core my-way-or-the-highway attitude, I'm not sure going to a meeting designed to convince Howard to stay and telling him "You dont know how to win, I'm gonna teach you how to do it, nobody but I can do that for you" is the right way to go about it. I really hope most fans will realize it won't be doom if we don't get Dwight. We'll only be doomed if we throw max money at an undeserving player just to spend the money. It won't be Moreys call either. It will be Les wanting to save face and walking away with something instead of being embarrassed as the front runners all along who came out with nothing.
