Perhaps existence of the whole Houston franchise is merely a cover for Dallas to use in Free agent negotiations?
Yes, I would too. I'd think, "Well, Shaq and Dream and Duncan and Wade and Lebron and Dirk and Pierce and Billups and Thomas won championships without being monomaniacal asses. That seals it. Houston!"
IIRC, she is actually a Lakers reporter. What I took from her tweet is that is a THEORY that others are putting forth that wont die....the inference I got was that she thinks it silly, thats why she sounds surprised that the theory wont go away.
Bynum's has degenerative knees. His injury will only get worse with time. Why would Morey go after that? Besides, some idiotic GM will overpay him.
ESPN keeps saying Mavs but do they even have the money?? Last I heard they needed to get rid of Marion, but now that Majo is gone they have the money??
I will take my chances with Howard and Smith added to the Rockets. OKC has also lost Martin and not replaced him. A line up of: Howard/Smith/Parsons/Harden/Beverly is pretty damn good.
Dave11 has a limited understanding of basketball history. OKC with Harden prior to last year, an in-his-prime Perkins, and Martin last year? Great. Now? Not the same.
There wasn't ANYONE with any credibility that bought New York as a serious option for LeBron. Not in the final weeks and free agency period, at least. If this is a smokescreen, it's an incredible one, because it's duped the likes of Woj and Amick into calling the Rockets frontrunners and all but dismissing Dallas. I don't think anyone had the Knicks as a frontrunner or even a viable candidate in July 2010.
Going to Houston is too much like Right.. Lakers or Cuban is a better Story.. Even GSW forcing Lakers into a Sign N Trade a better story.. They are going to Milk it for all it's worth! for the advertising.. After the Dwightmare it's going to be quiet here to the start of Football Season..
If we hear soon that Shawn Marion has been traded, you can bet that Howard has agreed to sign with Dallas.
