I know the Hawthorne PD well who seem to have a rep for being racist for many years. Anyway, they always run in packs so its never one officer alone in trouble or anything like that, and they have some pretty fit in shape guys working for them. In this case, I dont know man, just from knowing them and how they do (and when I say they do everything in packs, I mean everything) if they can't handle a barking dog, you had better fear for your life for doing any real crime.
I'm sure the same can (and has) be said of every PD in the nation. Police officers are supposed to "run in packs" and be in shape. It's the nature of their job. Seems like they handled it to me, if not overhandled it.
Why did you take such offense?. Maybe there is something wrong if you if you thought I was implying something rather than asking a simple question. I didn't get owned. I debated two people one of which lied twice and the other just dances around my point/questions without answering them. Seriously though, who pissed in your cereal? Spoiler In China, very white, pale skin is considered beautiful, and girls will do just about anything to keep their skin fair. This includes everything from skin whitening products to sun umbrellas to facial bleaching procedures. “One white covers a hundred uglinesses” goes an old Chinese saying, variations on which can be heard on the lips of women all over Asia
Doesn't really matter. The "tried something" in this case is grabbing the leash. Not exactly an unreasonable thing to do. Hesitant, but clearly agitated and aggressive. Once again, it doesn't really matter how he approached them. It matters that he tried to bite the officers. That's pretty much a game over. Sorry, dude was under arrest. You don't get to call "timeout" to take care of your unruly dog. Dog didn't seem very well behaved, even-tempered, or obedient in that matter. Right, but the police don't have the training or tools that animal control do. The police are trained pretty robotically how to respond to a violent situation. Neutralize the target, remain ready to act until the threat is over. It's an ingrained response. You don't think a wounded animal poses a threat? Really? Your inability to realize this, along with all the other things you've suggested in this post (letting the guy go, smh) show your complete lack of understanding of how law enforcement is supposed to operate. I feel horrible for anybody witnessing it, too, and I put the blame solely on the stupid owner for antagonizing the police, interfering with their work, and then failing to secure his animal which ultimately resulted in its death.
I learned something today. If you hate the police and you ask them why there aren't any black police officers while videotaping it at a crime scene then you deserve to watch your dog get shot, killed, and die a slow painful death.
I blame all parties involved. Most of the blame goes to the owner for stupid and putting his dog in that situation. I blame the cops for not using common sense. The dog is barking, clearly agitated and the windows were down. Even the bystanders were anticipating something to happen. They should of made sure the dog was secure.
I learned something today. BEAT LA loves putting words in other's mouths. BEAT LA, why did you leave out the part about the owner refusing to turn down the volume on a live armed robbery scene where the officers repeatedly asked him put the volume down. Putting blame on somebody is not the equivalent of stating that he "deserved" it. Does a mother deserve her baby's death if she leaves her baby in a car on a hot summer day? No, but she sure as hell is the person to blame for the tragic death of her child. The dog owner put himself in a unnecessary situation that cost the life of his faithful companion.
For the fifteenth-billion time in this thread: He wasn't in any trouble for videotaping - he was arrested for obstruction because he refused over and over and over to comply with police instructions to turn down his music during an intense situation where communication was absolutely essential. It was almost a hostage situation going on. He constantly gave the police fits when ALL HE HAD TO DO WAS TURN DOWN HIS MUSIC. There were plenty of other people videotaping who didn't have ANY problems with the police. The Dog was shot only AFTER it JUMPED AGGRESSIVELY AT THE OFFICER during an intense situation. They were trying to stop a freaking Hostage situation and this jerk comes up blaring music 50ft away and yelling at the cops. They had mere seconds to react to the dog after it left the car, while at the same time they've got a hostage situation developing and then they're arresting this moron. Thats a LOT to deal with in a matter of a few seconds.
O I'm so sorry... When I hear the term "*** the (anything)" my mind automatically jumps to a conclusion that the phrase was meant as a generalization. *** the black people and when I mean *** the black people I mean O.J. Simpson
It can be stated another fifteenth-billion time in this thread and it still won't register with some people. It's clear as daylight on the videos and reports of bystanders witnessing the event that this guy did not comply with the orders that the police had given him. He chose to disobey and be a distraction out of spite! He put everyone there at risk of harm by distracting the police! Had that dog bitten an innocent bystander, these same people claiming that the officers acted inappropriately would be be blaming the police for not putting that dog down. That poor dog is dead because unfortunately he had a moron for an owner. ....... ....... .......
Why can't the cop call the timeout? It's a dangerous dog right? Why not let the one person that could control it, take care of it? You don't have to let the guy go free. I've seen cops place people in handcuffs to calm them down plenty of times. Let him take care of the dog and then take him back in. That way, you don't have to deal with it biting anyone or resort to shooting it and endangering innocent bystanders. He just wanted his dog out of there. What is he going try? Not like he fought being cuffed. You act as if cops never thought outside the rule book before. You don't need any special training. Would it hurt to try to pepper spray first? Can't try that before you resort to shooting it? LOL no, I don't think a dog, after being shot multiple times from close range, as he lays on his back, quivering in pain, is a threat. I know, call me crazy.
If you jump to a conclusion based on that, I'm guessing you're either a pretty stupid person or just have a case of mental issues? It was A fairly small generalization and a reference to a freaking rap song based on the context of what this damn thread is about. Why do you keep making these horrible analogies?? I posted that yesterday and this is the best you could come up with or it took you this long to post that bullsh!t? Not very bright fchowd0311 and What is your problem dude seriously? Does this dude have mental issues or what, the *** is up with this dude here.
Complete bs. His assumption is reasonable and his example was spot on. Your wording was ambiguous but def implied cops in general.
Who gives a *** they're cops? *** the police, although I am I fan of Robocop and John Mcclane and do love the Departed heck I like cop movies, training day was cool. Still *** the police. *** *** *** the police coming straight fro the underground. <object width="420" height="315"><param name="movie" value="//www.youtube.com/v/WiX7GTelTPM?version=3&hl=en_US&rel=0"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="//www.youtube.com/v/WiX7GTelTPM?version=3&hl=en_US&rel=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="420" height="315" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>
