    also article states they were put up for exposure thanks to the BET awards - so it wasnt even for that they wouldnt have that there? like they want to try to appease dwight but wanted to make sure EVERYONE knew about it

    It is in the 2014 draft. They can easily be a bottom-feeder and draft a kid with star potential next year to build around. Couple that with all the cap room in the world, bright lights of L.A. and their legacy and you have a quicker rebuild than any other team in the league.

    In proper English, next Friday is the 5th...because when I look at a calendar and I see the date today, which is Wednesday the 3rd, and I move down the calendar in a daily incremental fashion...the next Friday is the 5th. The Friday after next would be the 12th. Sure a huge percentage of the population uses it incorrectly but it still makes it wrong! :p

    I don't understand why the Lakers would take down the billboards before Dwight has made his decision. What good can come from that?

    billboards also going down quickly is needed I am sure the Lakers know Dwight's decision - if they are still up AFTER it leaked/announced he is leaving it would be complete egg on their face.

    If they knew he was staying then they keep them up to show it worked and then changed to praise dwight's decision to stay
