?? For me makes no sense. As GM you just try to do the best for your team. Getting Barnes/Klay+Bogut can't hurt you at any way. Yes, you will pay taxes for next season, but you already expect to do so with Howard. You just get a tremendous asset for the future of your franchise in Barnes/Klay. If they present you this opportunity, when you know 100% you are losing Howard... why reject it?
Teams say a lot of things that the don't really mean or end up changing their mind about. That shouldn't have to be said.
Lakers will NEVER want to spend $30M tax + $15M salary for Howard playing for another team. GSW should not be in the meeting.
Assuming we get Dwight and Josh Smith, is there enough ball to go around to make everyone happy. We all know how much Harden demands the ball as is... *shrug.
Well, all he said was to "be prepared." This implies that there is a chance it may or may not happen. I'd like to think the former but I think it's just a heads up.
That's my guess. Information in Houston seems solid. Its only a matter of time. Not sure if true but I heard that DH friends aka people in the know are not the most silent people around.
The same Harden that was fine coming off the bench in OKC? I think he'll be alright now that he has some stars around him.
We'll see, I suppose. Doesn't hurt to give you the benefit of the doubt. If you're a phony, we'll know tonight.
