Just in case Howard sees a better future with Warriors than with the Rockets, somebody please explain me a good reason why Lakers would refuse the idea of getting -let's say- Thompson+Bogut over letting him go for nothing. - Bogut's contract expires in 2014. - Thompson has a team option of $4,469,547 for that next summer. Even executing it, the Lakers would still have room for another max contract (ONE, not two, like Berger sustains). Basically, you are the Lakers GM and Howard tells you "Ok, I'm leaving LA but I give you the chance to improve your team without hurting your flexibility... You just have to trade me to Golden State -and accept that we are going to contende for some years against you-."
Troll for what? What good does that do? All Houston media is being told be prepared for a press conference Friday. So I post it here. Like I said I'm nobody "special" just a big rockets fan. My father works under Berman. Our family has known Mark for 15 yrs. Oh and UH students can't tell lies. Whatever that means.
Mark Heisler tweeted: "This is from #Lakers: We won't do S&T for #D12 unless we get someone as special as he is, and how many are there?… That meant 1-2-3-4 guys" If that's legit, GSW is out regardless. Can't link to it at the moment or comment on his credibility, but if I remember correctly he is an LA beat writer.
How many views did the "Basketball Reasons" thread get that is #1 all-time here? Is this thread getting close yet?
Doc Roc basically said Dwight was going to Rockets before "retiring" and CyberX said announcement will be Thursday at the earliest.
Drew, This is your grandfather. I've been telling your father (Mark) to feed you misinformation as a joke. I see we've gone too far.
that would be the world stupidest press conference on the 5th before he signs and changes his mind. obviously its the 12th.
There are no more updates. Dwight is in the mountains in Colorado. Get a life and check back in sometime on Friday.
Why the hell would he go to Dallas??? Proven Champions my ass! Their Championship Roster and Superstar is fading away, no pun intended. And they didnt even make the Playoffs! If Howard really wants to win in the next four years, it's easy. Houston, then GS. And the GS scenario looks damn near impossible. Sure the Lakers can lure him with $30M more and the promise of a run at LeBron and Melo. Dwight just needs to decide if $30M is worth being their scapegoat for a couple of years lurking on the bottom of the commode. Either way Dwight is going to take crap off his old fan base and biased media. It's his choice, want to be a quitter or a loser Dwight? Might as well just take the hate with a healthy dose of winning!
