But honestly... And I guess looking back on it now. Every year since Morey has been here it has been a revolving door for most players in HOU. Now if all of that revolving door and assets and draft pics, etc etc has lead us to this moment then it all makes sense but I mean was Morey really thinking back when Yao announced retirement "the next 5 years I will be in the lab to land us Dwight or ____ in 2013"? If so what a super genius. I will admit though, at first I was not too sold on Morey and all the constant shuffling around of players. THAT BEING SAID... I hope not much more of the "core" is dismantled. That this team will be around for the next 5-7 seasons. Wishful thinking?

I think this is a very realistic scenario. It wouldn't make sense for LA or Dwight considering the tax situation for the Lakers and the pieces GS would give up for Dwight.

Whoa, calm down their cowboy! Not sure why you feel like you need to be a dick, but I wasn't saying that because the tweet wasn't pro-Houston. More so because everything has been sounding like GS has been an afterthought, and it sounds like misinformation is just being thrown around at this point so nobody knows what will happen.

    And now...

Yup, he's definitely a troll, not an insider, here for entertainment, etc.

A lot of things have to fall into place in order for that to happen. The Lakers would have to be willing to do a S&T, the Warriors would have to put together a package L.A. is interested in(and doesn't deplete the team before Dwight gets there), and it can't jeopardize the Lakers' cap space heading into 2014.

It can still happen, but a lot of it is out of the control of Dwight and the Warriors. Every other team he spoke with can at least sign him outright.

    God you people are gullible

THE SOURCE ABOUT GOLDEN STATE IS GOLDEN STATE

And to paraphrase Doc Rocket, every time you think Dallas are really in it, just imagine that you're really a douche bag, even though they aren't made any more. Stein is quoting Chris Broussard as a source.

What if... He hoes to another team that WOULD be interested in taking what GSW is offering in S&T? LAL might not be interested in a S&T right now, but what if some other team is? What would be stopping him from going to another team that wants what GSW has and who would be willing to trade tim there to make it happen?

I don't know what other team could/could want to do that , just thinking out load here.

Not really phased by GSW at all but if I was Dwight Howard they'd be my #1 choice, assuming Jackson is as cool of a coach as he seems to be. The city, the fans, the makeup of the team as-is, the history of the franchise (or lack thereof) and young prospects - it's good stuff.

For Houston to win-out they'd have to sell me hard on playing in 2 places at once monetarily (China and Houston). If the earning potential was there I'd probably go for Houston. Tough call though.

And if Lakers don't get Dwight, they wouldn't want to add salary and just pay luxury tax for no reason. So a Bogut Sign and trade would be a no

I just don't understand where all these sources are coming from at this point. The way so many of these tweets sound (X team still has a chance to 'steal' him, this team is in this place) makes it sound like he still has meetings or something else that could change his mind. I mean, if he's announcing by/on Friday he probably knows, but people are making it sound like the battle is still raging on... without him even there.

I thought only the original team can do a sign and trade?

Bogut and Barnes or Thompson? If I were GSW I'd make that deal. Lakes, too, actually.

If I were the Lakers, I'd take a Bogut+Barnes deal or Bogut+Thompson deal.

I'd then either trade away or amnesty Pau to save on the luxury tax. I'd trade away Bogut, too, for future assets. He's good enough of a center for teams to be interested.

Thompson and Barnes are on rookie scale deals so they shouldn't affect my 2014 free agent cap space.
