yea obviously you don't go directly to the bookie window to place the bets if you're dwight, you give the money to your boys or maybe an outsider. But is it even illegal if you tell your insiders the team and they go place the bet themselves? lol but anyways it was just more of a "joke"

They monitor sizable bets BIG TIME on bets like these. Kind of like the ridiculous prop bets on the SB (how long will Star Spangled Banner last, which jersey singer will wear, etc.). The books are aware of the potential for fixing and nobody comes in big on these. Nobody.
They also are talking about a SnT with the Rockets or something. They should know Morey is not doing that ****.
