I'd love to have Robin Lopez here, but I don't think he will be available cheaply enough. I still don't understand what the Pelicans are doing trying to kick him to the curb for Tyreke....but whatever...
Camby 2.0, injury or not, he would take a paycut to play for a championship-caliber team, or be close to home.
All we are say-ing...is give DMo a chance. He's tall enough and has bulked up, maybe he could fill the 5 spot if needed.
If only that fat ass Camby had stayed with us and stayed in shape..he's worth nothing now, did you see him in NY last year? Me neither, cause he was terrible and injured etc..
Tim Ohlbrecht - (D League All-Star - RGV) on a mini contract with us now. <iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/C01909nHSck?feature=player_detailpage" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> OR Viacheslav Kravtsov - beefy but can still run - strong finisher (stuck behind Monroe and Drummond on Pistion's bench) 1.5 per / 2 years <iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/urfcwrZxlC4?feature=player_detailpage" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> He plays well when given time
Supposedly unhappy in TO. Making $4.3 mil this year, $1.3 mil next year. Could probably be had for a 2nd rounder. Camby, Smith and Furkan would fill the backup role nicely. Might not even need Camby depending on ho far along Furkan is, and Greg Smith's improvement.
He hasn't been able to hold his position in the low post and he hasn't been able to rebound either. Unless, he can show serious improvement he shouldn't get minutes at the 4, let alone at the 5 spot.
If we can get someone decent for the vet minimum so we still have the room exception to sign someone else, then go for it. If not, I'd rather run with G. Smith and D-Mo
