One incident shouldn't scare anyone away. There have been plenty of others too, it doesn't make Craigslist dangerous. By that logic you might as well not drive either since car accidents happen.
I've sold a lot on craigslist...you get more money than you would in a garage sale. I sold my car in 3 hours on craiglist. Listed it at 6:10pm, first call at 6:19pm and it was gone by 9:30pm. Had a waiting list of 10 people that wanted to take a look at the car - got the blue-book value too. I've never had any problems, but I do tend to google the person, their email, or their phone# before they come over. Only once did the google search come up with someone who had a bad rep - so I sold my car to the next person on the list.

I was in this Starbucks when it happened. Didn't see it, just heard the gunshot, looked around, saw the guy run off and the guy who got shot on the ground holding his leg. Got out of there after a fire truck came (took like what felt like 10 mins for them to get there which was ridiculous). ****in crazy.
This hit close to home... I usually drive close to Starbucks... I also have met strangers. I will still sell on craigslist, though. No one has ever shot me and I've never sold phones for $30, so it will NEVER happen to me.
Some guys just feel they have to have a schitck on this board to get noticed, rather than get by with 100% pure championship quality posting like myself. Ronny is the resident douche. Swoly annoys the hell out of everyone somehow with every single post he makes. Han Solo takes it in the butt.
That's pretty crazy, off the top of my head there's a fire station really close by down west belfort and something. But it's usually a busy intersection, it's hard to believe someone's dumb enough to pull a gun for 30$ in such a public area.
Damn. There are A LOT of homophobes on clutchfans. Usually the ones who act so uncomfortable are the ones who end coming out of the closet later. Usually bottoms.
