Kobe being a prick: Bryant, according to a source, pointed out that while the Rockets brought Hall of Fame center Hakeem Olajuwon with them to their meeting with Howard Sunday night, and that Yao Ming made a pitch on Houston's behalf via Skype, "there wasn't a room big enough" to hold all of the great players who had worn the Lakers' uniform. Kelvin Cato is the man though. He had a ridiculous amount of blocked shots that one preseason game.... then we gave him a ridiculous contract in return....... and then he never played hard again.

Iguodala is contemplating the Kings' offer after having, according to a source, "great meetings" with the Hawks, Rockets, Warriors and Pistons. The Rockets want both Howard and Smith, who played together in Atlanta for the AAU Atlanta Celtics and have remained friends. However, Smith will not necessarily wait for Howard's decision before he makes up his own mind.
So many Laker greats yet none of them cared enough to show up and convince Dwight that he could be one of them. Dream on the other hand flew in from Jordan and Yao Skyped in the wee hours from China. The most he got from the Lakers greats were tweets…
There isn't a room big enough to hold Kobe's ego, either. Young team with no drama>old team with injured Kobe.
There aren't very many rooms big enough to hold Yao Ming alone by himself... that's why he had to skype in the meeting.
That's alright Kobe. We brought two stars on the rise, two legends who see themselves in a Howard/Harden duo, a coach who Howard can actually relate to and respect, and a big man who was loved by an entire nation and the city of Houston and hopes Dwight will embrace that. Just retire already, you twat.
This is true, but isn't that the wrong message for Dwight. Hey Dwight, I really really really want that 1 more ring to tie MJ. After that I'll probably retire as part of the Lakers Mt. Rushmore, while you struggle through the rest of your career maybe making deep playoff runs, but in all likelihood never even getting close to being a top 5 Laker and likely not even a top 10. If Dwight joins the Rockets and wins 1 championship, he and Harden automatically catapult themselves into top 5 Rockets. If they win 2 they are automatically top 3. I hate to downplay the Rockets. I mean of course I'd like them to win 5 championships. But the truth is, even 1 will be be monumental to the team and city. Come to Houston Dwight. Join a Mt. Rushmore for a team. Become a living legend for a team. Or go to the Lakers, if everything goes really really really well make one Finals run, then fade away and never be asked to come back and recruit or do anything else for your team in the future... there won't be enough room for you.
O < ---------- The Point ----------> Kobe It wasn't about bringing stars and sex appeal. It was about centers and their vast history of development and success, most importantly team success, in Houston. Hakeem isn't there to wow Howard, he's there to tutor him.
