This is an Al Horford shot chart. That seems like a lot of plays at the rim. I assume that's where you want Dwight.
Adande may have said "Just one word????..... Houston".... while smiling. It was something like that...lol
Horford is a better shooter than Smith. He has strong fg% at rim and is better than Smith outside that range. I think he would create more space on offense than Smith. That being said, you are correct because there is minimal reasons for Hawks to trade him to us, but if I had to choose I would definitely take Horford over Smith.
I've loved his game for years. However, I never dreamed of Howard and my loving his game had everything to do with him being a center. He is definitely the better shooter, but Josh is way more likely to succeed at the 4. I say this because his WIN% at the 4 is less than 50% of the time. Also, I messed up when I said he split minutes between the two positions. He splits FG attempts between the two, but plays C more than twice as much as PF.
I'm split on Josh. But, I do see the positives and potential. One thing some may not know is he's a very good passer. He can initiate the offense from the high post like Chuck did a few years ago.
I was actually pretty surprised by his knowledge of the Rockets (we're probably going to lose Delfino, Brooks, etc) until that slip up with the 1st round pick. But it is Bun B, so all is forgiven. Don't listen to glide. His inner putz is coming out. Woj posted something that made it sound like Houston had it all but locked up. A famous barber in Houston has an appointment with Dwight Howard tomorrow or the next day, not sure which. Dwight is 'getting away' several states away. (Texas fits that description) Doc Rocket went nuts last night and posted crazy DH related messages at a rate of 1 per minute last night for about 5-7 minutes straight. All in all, yeah, that's big news.
