That sounds even worse than what I read about the meeting before. This Luca Brasi may be promising good news as best he can, but in the morning he's going to be: I'd know. I'm don grahamleone.
That's cool...but all he's saying is they put on a great show for Dwight. Who says it was enough to sway them? I'd be more concerned about the Barber thing if I were them http://www.cbssports.com/nba/story/...asy-way-out-of-la-or-stay-and-become-a-legend Also a article the Laker fans are praising. Don't know if it's been posted, but if so likely was lost in the gifmania stuff (not that I mind a gif or two...)
You're welcome! Looks like redhotrox and I found it at the same time. We're still in the lead. Hopefully a day or two out of LA will shake the cobwebs from Dwight's head and he'll make the correct decision.
I don't think the Rockets with Dwight+Josh Smith have the kind of nation-wide villain status that Miami Head got themselves into after 2010. First, people felt bad for small market Cleveland for losing Lebron to a glamour location in Miami. If anything, most non-Lakers fans in the country likely enjoy seeing the Lakers fail to retain a star. I predict more schadenfreude than empathy in the Lakers direction. Second, Lebron and Bosh both were drafted by the teams that they left. The Lakers only had Dwight for one year and only traded useless Bynum for him. Third, I don't think Atlanta is super eager to hold on to Smith if they can get a decently beneficial sign and trade for him. Danny Ferry has seemed to be leaning toward blowing things up there anyways, particularly if adding another max player to what they have is now out of the question.
You know what state is several states away and has one helluva good barber: Texas. Houston, specifically.
Sounds like the guy is saying that the team members did what they could at the meeting, so don't blame the Lakers if Dwight leaves.
The new Woj article didn't really add anything new that we didn't already know about. The random tweets, articles and speculation is nice and all but we all know what we really want....
Yeah, I tried to rep him, but had to spread some around. Usually it's only J.R. beating me, so that was pretty impressive.
Stay and be a legend. Or leave and be a legend. I hate that article. Do I get rep for dogging on you?
Knowing Howard, you never know, but it's pretty clear Houston has this one in the book. It's just that Dwight can still change his mind at the last second and choose the safe route in LA. Judging from the article of Woj and as many have said before: Dallas is 100% out of the picture.
It does sound like that. Kind of like the spin a political handler's team will engage in after a debate performance.
