It would really suck to go through all this and have Dwight go to the Lakers but I don't think it would kill our future. Dwight is good but let's face it he's not Hakeem and never will be I would like to see him rocking The Red and Gold but if not I dont think it's going to hurt the Rockets as bad as people think.
The amount of times I've clicked the refresh button in this thread alone is ridiculous. We're talking triple digits.
Can we see that photoshopped Ricksmith pic now? I mean, the meetings are through, he's made his mind up.
Agreed. The longer this draws out the more anxious, irritated, and frustrated we all get. But at the same time it's the most excitement the board has seen in recent offseasons. You love it but you hate it.
I wonder if I just recited news off of twitter right after it had been posted minutes earlier and used the the terms "sources confirmed" and "verify" do I have a chance to be a sports journalist....
I agree. It was a huge tease earlier. I understand that its veracity may be questionable, but that is what disclaimers are for. I do not think that anyone will hold it against you if there are huge problems with the photo as long as your disclaimer is GTG. Let us decide, please. Post the appropriate disclaimer and let us decide.
I confess, I had to take the rest of the week of just so that I can follow this thread none stop. **** me
well tomorrow is my last day of work then im off for 4 days BUT I will be out of town and really wont have access tom clutchfans :/
My understanding of the Laker meeting: Dwight: "I want to win." A significantly injured and aging Kobe, Steve Nash coming off his worst season in 13 years, Mike D'Antoni whose coaching seems to stop working come playoffs, a grieving Jim Buss and a few other folks: (pause) "Have you thought about branding!" Then the meeting ends early. Bad, bad, bad sign for them. All bad signs with Dallas. At this point I'd be shocked if he doesn't come here. I'd declare foul play if he doesn't.
This is my feeling too. Lakers meeting was pathetic, awkward and really without a clear path to contending. If he stays, he has doomed his legacy. Dwight is coming to Houston.
