Parsons is not capable of defending bulky 4s.

Those guys aren't Kevin Martin, they'll be alright. They are going to go out and ball period and give their best period.

If they're trying to sell Los Angeles as the best place for Dwight to win, then they are most certainly not being honest

Exactly!! They are sounding more self-absorbed and selfish! Far from being "honest" IMO.

When somebody says "honest", usually that means unflattering. Bad with the good.

If they were trying to sell Dwight on L.A., I doubt they were honest.

These guys have multimillion $$ contracts that only consume a few years of their life. If you could work for 3 years and get a guaranteed $25 million, how butthurt would you REALLY be if you had to work in a different city? Really?

Sorry, can't shed tears for these guys. They know the drill, it's just part of the business. After they are done playing basketball they can piss it all away on coke and strippers or they can use the money they made in those few years to be successful, comfortable, and pretty well rich for the rest of their lives. No sir, no tears shed here.

    Two words: uh oh

Not one person...not one "source" is talking big isht after that meeting.

    It's all...meeting was productive....we hope he chooses the lakers....optomistic...etc..

    Very telling to me....

IF he was going to stay....you would hear EVERY pundit saying so right now this minute...but they arent.

    Says a lot....

Doesnt mean he's coming to the H....but I have a feeling he WONT be playing in LA anymore.

I love that we live in a society where honest is a bad thing.

Is it at all possible that someone is trying to make Morey look like a liar in front of Howard by contradicting his statement that they're not shopping Lin and Asik? That would make Dwight feel uneasy - joining an organization which seems to be dishonest from day 1.

You know what the funny/ironic thing in all of this is? Everyone is calling Dwight being a kid and that he needs to be coddled - yet he is wanting the SAME EXACT THINGS that Kobe did back in 2004

    - he wants to be the feature piece for a marquee team - ie HIS team
    - he wants to win big
    - he wants a coach that will help showcase his skills

Kobe wanted all of those - and in fact drove Shaq out of town to make the Lakers his team and used the Clippers as leverage to get it.

Kobe wanted to win obviously but win with HIM being the focal point just like Dwight

Kobe got went through Rudy T and Berkta till he got Phil back since he wasn't happy with the way Rudy coached.

NO ONE got on Kobe's case then because he had been the city's little darling since day 1. Since he help lead the team to success no one questioned him in the media and there were no vets to challenge him in the locker room anymore.

Dwight - being a super star in his own right and about at the same as as Kobe was in 2004 - just wants the same thing yet he is villianized for it.

And Shaq in 2004 was a better more impactful player than Kobe is today.

Kobe wanted to be catered to, he wanted his ass kissed, he wanted the city. Everything that Dwight being a legitimate superstar in the league wants (as most EVERY superstar wants) yet Kobe isn't willing even at this age and with this serious injury willing to give that up.

Shaq was far more graceful in letting Kobe take some ownership of the team and especially to let Wade lead in Miami when he realized he couldn't bring it every night anymore. Kareem did the same with Magic -- but Kobe can't do the same to Dwight.

Its a shame for the Lakers - but its great for the Rockets of course
