Jeanie Buss, as part of her pitch, was saying that the Lakers have the best fans. I nearly choked from laughing so hard. You're right. The biggest allure of L.A. is the town itself. If he says, "I stayed because it gave me the best chance to win titles," he's full of it. But would this shock anybody?
I get where you're coming from, but the fact that NO ONE else at ESPN is even acknowledging him gives me hope. I mean, they're all under one umbrella. I'm pretty sure Broussard and Stein have talked to him and could double-check the information, but they haven't even retweeted him, much less corroborated it. The ESPN NBA account has nothing about it, either. It seems like they don't take him that seriously.
Chances we do a S&T for Smith before Dwight decides? If he wants to play with Smith I think that would settle any doubts in the next "day or two."
Palmer is ****ing annoying. If we dont get Dwight. I wish the Mavs oir Warriors get him just because hes so ****ing annoying.
Yes Dwight has come to cool, lush Phoenix, AZ next door. Rumors are that he will sign with the Suns soon.
He's going home/leaving LA as of this afternoon to go and think about it and make a decision. He's not seeing the billboards.
He just proved himself wrong by saying dwight was staying in LA then Woj says dwights leaving LA to think.
Link A source familiar with Lakers' pitch on Tuesday summed it up like this: "The bottom line is will he take the chance to play for the biggest team, biggest fan base and winningest franchise?" a source familiar with the Lakers' pitch told ESPNLosAngeles.com. "To me, that's the biggest theme. The Lakers have the track record."
If they are too cheap to take a tax hit (which is why I keep hearing they are not open to a sign and trade) then maybe they are too cheap to pay for the ad space the "Stay" banners are costing them. Hope you are right though.
I honestly don't see any basketball appeal for Howard in LA. Ageing squad, no guarantees for the future. Dunno why Lakers fans are adamant that LeBron would sign for them. Best player I can see coming to LA is Kevin Love but even I'm not sure how that's gonna win a championship. Hollywood appeal on the other hand... His next decision will really reveal whether "I want to win championships" is a true statement or not.

If the Rockets/Astros finally settle with CSN Houston, how many sets of eyes worldwide see Rockets games every season vs. the Lakers? Without knowing for sure, I'd put my money on the biggest team with the biggest fan base in China.
They won't be winning anything any time soon. Yesterday it was that nobody, Nuno, reporting Dwight will ink with Dallas and today it is Palmer saying he is staying in LA. Tomorrow he will be a free agent forever, so long as he doesn't meet with any teams.
