Les inherited a championship team. Cuban built a championship team. Being in the playoffs each season and going deep gives you a better chance to win the championship than not being in the playoffs each year. A healthy Yao and Mcgrady could not even get past the Utah Jazz in the 1st round while having a home court advantage so lets stop daydreaming. I will stay here and root for the Rockets despite NOT having a man-crush on Les. I chose to be objective while you can... ....stay angry my friend!
To be fair, Les approved pulling the trigger to break up the defending champions and trade for Clyde. Pretty ballsy as a second year owner, whose fan base may have been like the team - and not liked having the chance to defend. I know I didn't like the trade at the time. Les has been a very good owner. I never have liked those who bust him up, talking out of their ___. (not saying you don't think he's a good owner...)
Possible, but unlikely. A shorter meeting with the Lakers was to be expected. Not too much new they can say to him that they wouldn't already have said in the recent past. Actually, I think longer meetings are a good sign, shows more interest and engagement. Probably more detailed questions on path forward, etc.
That's because they don't tease in San Marcos.... You have to be a closer. Oh **** he's going to resign to play with Kobe.
While I give Les for approving the trade, that trade wasnt that insane as we make it out out to be. The Rockets went stale. They offense was too dependent on Hakeem and they needed a second scorer to relieve him. Clyde was not in his prime but was still an all around player and we only lost Otis (not exactly breaking up the team). Personally, I loved the trade when it happened and didnt get enough sleep that night when I found out about it because of all the excitement. I dont think Les is a bad owner. I am saying I dont consider him better than Cuban, and Cuban has made some stupid mistakes himself.

Cyber... you know the only thing we can take away from your posts regarding the Lakers' chances are that they likely would get him back if they fired MDA and brought back Phil. Unless it's the best kept secret in the sportsworld, that ain't happening. According to what all you've posted this go 'round with Dwight - it's GOT to be looking pretty good for us right now, regardless of Dwight's nature to be swayed. This is the FOURTH time we've thought we had a decent shot at him. When he opted back in, at the draft and at the trade deadline. Fourth time's a charm?

Actually, didn't someone say out of CALIFORNIA? Which would be nice if you assume Dwight doesn't want to be in any of the places where there may be backlash towards his decision (LAL, GSW).
