Unless that is a pic of them actually putting the billboards up a few days ago then I'd say that bodes well for us.
Kobe talked to Dwight about winning... "I'm coming back. We're gonna win. Bet on it... ... You can be my wingman. No worries. When they double or triple me i'll try to look for you."
Link "At the meeting, we told him how important he is to the Lakers team, franchise, fans and community, and why we feel this is the best place for him to continue his career," Kupchak said in a statement. "We are hopeful that Dwight decides to remain a Laker." Howard was reluctant to tip his hand after he was finished huddling with the Lakers, signifying the end of a whirlwind two days of courtship. "I had a lot of great meetings," said Howard, who was wearing a pinstriped suit jacket and slacks. Howard then made his way to a white Ferrari and drove off with plenty to think about. Some of the Lakers that were doing the pitching had more to say. "I thought it was a very productive meeting," Nash told reporters, including ESPNLosAngeles.com's Ramona Shelburne after the sit-down had adjourned. "We talked about last year and how it can be built on. I think a lot of the excitement of last year has yet to be finished. If we get him back, regroup, retool and make it happen." Nash shared another message imparted in the meeting: "This is the fan base that will embrace him for many years." When asked about Bryant's role in the presentation, Nash replied, "Kobe was there. Kobe was great." D'Antoni had a positive outlook. "Yes, I'm hopeful," D'Antoni told ESPN's Shelley Smith as he exited with Nash. "We all are. We made our presentation. Dwight has to make his choice and we just hope it's us."
A few days.... may coincide with Cyber's comment we may hear something Friday. I thought it'd be Monday, but starting to feel like it might happen sooner.
I disagree. We didn't have James Harden, Lin or Asik then. One star and two very good role players on the team already makes a huge difference.
That's 1 more championship than Les has to show for all his moves. I will take playoff successes and a chance to win the big one over playoff absences any day. With Les, it was a perennial "Its going to be a great year" while handing out contracts to guys like Mo Taylor. I dont care about Cuban but I do consider him a better owner than Les.
Our team didn't matter, because Dwight had no say in it. But we had the best offer for Orlando (Basically the deal the net us Harden - yeah, it looked a lot better back then...), and they still chose the other offer.
