I think his mind was made up as well but he wanted to explore the options. I think it's certainly responsible on his part to do so.
I fell 40+ pages behind, and I've given up on trying to catch up. Did anything IMPORTANT happen in these 40+ pages, or is it the same old anxiety-ridden dumpster fire of random twitter posts?
Interesting, but I believe AEG owns part of the Lakers and they own/operate Staples Center as well. So it makes sense for them to be there. I guess.
Dudley is a good shooter and defender. Reddick can shoot too. I'd say they came out ahead since weren't going to bring back Caron Butler or Bledsoe anyway (cheap owner). Having more shooters next to Paul is a good thing, but I am not too sure about Reddick.
Not much. Lastest news is...well nothing much. Dwight is meeting with the Lakers. Some say Kobe said he'd not leave the room until Dwight made a commitment. Who knows if this was meant to be a joke (from Kobe possibly.) or what. AEG is involved somewhere in there.
Let's face it, the Lakers ARE one of the more storied franchises in the NBA; there's no denying that. And players do want to play there. And they've won championships over the last 12 years. But not all of them. And who are the others? Dallas. San Antonio. Miami. Detroit. Boston. Not exactly NY or Chicago (although Boston has history, for sure). Dallas' presentation may have actually helped him think about Houston as a destination; they sell themselves on their championship pedigree; Dwight knows that the Lakers aren't the only team to offer championship aspirations. But Dallas and LA are not up-and-comers like the Thunder, Clippers, Pacers, or........Rockets. And you wonder if he talked to Lebron, Wade, etc. about this. You wonder if they would advocate LA or tell him, "go with the up-and-comer"? Which leaves....Houston.
They are not there - CONFIRMED !!!! Trust me - You are correct though - they do operate/manage staples
Why? A player has every right to meet with suitors. If anything, it's the media and us fans that turn it into a circus.
how cool would it be if dwight walks into that fakers meeting, looks koby the rapist in his beady greedy eyes, and tells him point blank: Grab yo glocks when you see my Rox, call tha cops when you see my Rox....hey who dropped you, but wait up I aint finished, now you bout to feel tha wrath of a menace, scrub you just got dumped!
I can already see how they're going to spin it. Everyone has been saying Rockets are the front runners, and then the Lakers put on this spectacular show and somehow some way, convince Dwight to come back. It will turn into one giant Lakers Fellatio fest and I'll be long gone before the floor gets sticky.
all valid points, Yoyo... BUT I won't let silly things like plausibility placate my searing anger for BSPN!
Yeah the ticket in DFW is really far superior than anything Houston has to offer sports talk radio wise. Most of the guys there are down on Cuban and the mavs. It's rangers all the time out here.
At this point, there's not going around it for Dwight. If he comes to Houston, he wants to win. If he goes to Dallas, well....... LOL. If he goes to LA, then he's betting a hell of a lot of a plan that may not even happen. My guess - he goes to Atlanta
