How has ESPN not offered enough money for Woj to leave Yahoo?

 

So basically the Lakers' contingent consists of Kobe on crutches and a bunch of movie/entertainment executives.

Meanwhile, the Rockets' contingent was littered with nothing but basketball greats from the past and present.

Gee, I wonder who cares more about winning.

 

So the Lakers are trying to sell him on non basketball reasons which contradicts the decision Dwight will base this on?

 

Is this meeting about Dwight's future in the NBA or in Hollywood?

Like OMR mentoned, if Dwight re-signs for all the extra-curricular bull****, we don't want him anyway.

AEG is huge in sports

 

Could be the Lakers know they will lose the basketball argument or it could be they know Dwight the best and know what REALLY matters to him.

 

They're a lot huger in everything else.

AEG has zero ability to impact Dwight's life from a basketball perspective.

At this point if Dwight stays with the Lakers he's more interested in being a actor than all-time great center.

 

Woj does not like ESPN and he sort of built Yahoo's basketball media coverage - i dont think he will leave the place that gave him his voice and that he helped build into a giant in the basketball media world.

ESPN has lost all their guys that were decent - aldridge, Bucher -

Stein is their last reliable reporter with legit sources -- broussard looks like a fool and Adande is too biased

When did I say basketball? I said sports as in: in the world if sports they're very influential as a company. If he wants to win that's another conversation, but basketball discussion will be handled by the lakers

 

I can't believe there are a bajillion reporters getting Dallas reps leaving Dwight's meeting and there wasn't one reporter for the Rockets reps; Yoyo was the only one that got pictures... We had everybody in our caravan of love! I mean Chandler's glorious hair was there; that at least warrants an appearance from TMZ.

 

interesting but depending on what is said it could be illegal/tampering if non basketball incentives were guaranteed -- I am sure the NBA would be forced to investigate - the other owners would be beyond pissed
