It really is dumb. Watching how effective Asik was while fumbling easy chances, I've been drooling at the thought of Dwight flushing all those down. Add the alley-oop, and it's too tantalizing.

It is a strange pitch. Hey, look at us, we won a championship! Um, the Lakers have won a bazillion. The Rockets have won 2. Might as well join the Spurs, they've got 4. The even more amusing part is what the Mavs did AFTER they won their championship. They immediately blew the team up! Why, because even they knew they were old as crap and unlikely to win another one. And when did people start describing Cuban as charming? he seems like a likeable dude and all, but is Dwight going to decide where to go because the owner charmed him over dinner or something? Maybe... it is Dwight. The reason so many people say Houston is in the lead is because they SHOULD be in the lead. You don't look at championships won 4 or 40 years ago. You look at the current team, the current assets, and which is most likely to win a championship going forward. Houston wins there by a mile
Marc Stein was the beat writer for the Mavericks for years before he went national on ESPN. Mav homer all the way.
Does the dude that predicted all those wins/losses in a row for us this year have a "feeling" on dwight?
I wish We could have a separate thread for actual relevant news and not so much opinion and comments. I hate it. Yet here I am clogging the thread up just like the rest of yall.
Kobe refusing to leave the room may work.... not sure Howard has the balls to tell him no to his face.... I could see Kobe screaming at him... Howard agreeing and then in the hallway after the meeting admitting to his agent he agreed to resign with the Lakers just to get out of the room.
If the meetings really mean anything to Dwight, Kobe could really mess this up for the Lakers. Dude has so much pride, and so little humor, just imagine it: "you need to want to be here. At the end of the day, we can't, and we shouldn't, talk you into it." Said with that cold black mamba look. I mean, can you imagine him putting sugar on that line? I can't. it would just remind Dwight of what he dislikes so much in kobe.
