Dwight is gonna resign in LA so i dont know why he is wasting everyones time. He perfers to be in a old slow team system than with a team that is on the cusp of greatness. I dont know where this kids head is but BBALL isnt his #1 priority. Houston is a excellent fit, mavs are old and rebuilding , lakers will be older and slower and kobe may reinjure himself, Lakers arent doing any SIGN N TRADES so GSW is out of the question. So whats the point of all these interviews? LA is gonna kiss is ass to a whole new level tonight with tv deals and " promises" that they can get another star after kobe retires. Lebron or durant arent coming to LA and Howard cant be the #1 option on a championship team looking at how hes played the last 3 seasons. This is the WEST not the simplistic east. West teams thrive on teamwork and support from even the 10th man on the rotation.

I hope this kid sees that this decision is career defining, Rebuild with LA or Join a near future contender.

Going to meetings is tiring. Is it really an advantage to be the last meeting if there are no meaningful breaks? I bet DH puts on his glasses with the fake open eyes and lets his agent do all the talking.

I kinda hate that Dwight doesn't want to do the pick and roll. He's good at it, and it's undoubtedly the best way to use him for any team. If it helps you win, why stop? I don't get it.

    Stein v.2

Dallas is in the serious part. Yesterday wasn't serious. The Hawks and Warriors aren't getting Dwight Howard. The Mavs have Cuban. Cuban has a chance to charm Dwight. The other big element of the pitch is, we won a championship, compare our track record to Houston, Dirk is willing to take a pay cut next summer to get another star.

    ...

Hard to see Kobe stepping back but these teams are businesses. Kobe is the Lakers. It's hard for the Lakers to tell him to step aside and hand it over to this guy. From Dwight's perspective, he's just like LeBron. He has to win to shut us all up. He has to decide where his best chance is. It's been a two year bash fest. He's done a lot of it to himself. He's become a bigger lightning rod criticism wise than LeBron.

    Timeline?

Initial rumblings were by the end of the week. Whoever gets the verbal will be sweating.

    Where does he go?

I've been saying Texas all along. Houston with the edge but the gap between Houston and Dallas is narrower than people think. Today, we have people saying he's staying with the Lakers. That rumble is out there. Our Chris Palmer threw it out there - that he's hearing strongly Dwight is staying.

Man, I'm predicting this thread is gonna BLOW up once the Lakers meeting ends and we start seeing people tweeting about it. We're gonna get a ton of tweets from random people and subsequent freaking out about said people's opinions.

That being said, I can't wait till it starts :)

D'Antoni will says he is changing the system to work from INSIDE OUT on offense, kobe will agree, phil will be on skype /speaker phone saying he is coaching from the front office, they will throw the money an TV deal at him, offer Kareem to train him even though kareem is a A-HOLE and doesnt care, kobe will says he isnt retiring for atleast 3 years knowing he is lying because he will get injured again this season and after all that ..................................BOOM howard resigns with LA

I am sure Kobe and D'Antoni are gritting their teeth sitting there.....

Howard: "Yeah, I mean I would like some post ups."

D'Antoni: "Well Dwight, you get a lot of curls to the basket you know--"

Howard: "I am just saying I would like to be included on post ups, you know, like be the focus--"

    Kobe: "You what--"

Kupchak: "You are right Dwight and we will make you a star!."

Kobe: "I gotta go... *mutters* lazy broke ass loser"

    Howard: "Huh?"

Kupchak: "So now the basketball side is discussed, how would you like to be a movie star Dwight? We can do that for you."

Howard: "Uhh so about running a post offense...."

Kupchak: "Look! Phil sent you a text! I think it is quoting Canterberry Tales."

    Howard: "What?"

Yeah, if the Lakers want to Howard to resign for sure all they have to do is tell him they are going to amnesty Kobe. Then say publicly it was their choice so Howard wouldn't get the backlash. That would be funny if Howard asked them to do that first. Haha! Come to think of it, why wouldn't he do it if he likes playing in L.A. so much & dislikes playing with Kobe????????

Stein is not legit, anybody not knowing we have won championships is a fool. Dallas only has one edge: owner who is willing to spend big. Leslie has never gone all in, he hasn't proven it during yao & tracy era, could mean a lot to Dwight cause personally i would not trust leslie.
