don't get me wrong. I hope he signs with us. But he is nowhere close to Shaq. better question might be the same impact as Shaq on the HEAT.
Yeah, I mean, I hope it's that and not like...I don't know...the impact Dream had when he signed with the Raptors.
No...offensively Shaq is about a million leagues ahead of Howard. It's like comparing an awesome steak and a piece of turd.
Nowhere close? Come on now, he is the CLOSEST thing to Shaq I've seen. Not saying he is as good or close to as good but he is THE CLOSEST. He is more athletic that Shaq for sure. Physically, he is like a shaq lebron hybrid. Continue to develop his already good post game and left hand, He has the chance to be GREAT.
If Dwight has the same impact Gasol had when traded to the Lakers I would be doing back flips but shaq no way no how
Who knows? Shaq won his first championship at 28. Hakeem at 31. Big men hit their prime about this time...one thing I know is Harden+Dwight and Morey should F'n equal a finals appearance or two. Although it's likely that Dwight will never be Shaq...he's still A LOT better than most big men playing in the NBA today.
Howard can do a lot of the things that Shaq did defensively but he is not even in the same realm when it comes to scoring. Shaq was just unstoppable on the block.
Dwight is one of the best big men in the league now but in the 90s, he's another pf/center. Dwight defensive wise and rebounding is on shaqs level . Offensively in the paint, forget about it. Give shaq the ball in the paint n hes stuffing that in your face. Dwights gotta get better when given the ball. he'll put up 20 and 12. Would be surprised if it increases.
Good post game? Left hand? WTF? Lol! Shaq, LeBron, Dwight...one of these things is not like other. Guess which one.
We shall see. I think Howard can play better D than Shaq and Shaq is underrated in that department. Kobe was a great defender and Harden simply is not. On offense both Shaq and Kobe were better that Howard and Harden. I'm not a Kobe or Shaq fan but I respect their game and approach to the game. Ultimately, I like the combo of Harden and Howard and I'm anxious to see it happen.
I don't think he is even as good offensively as Shaq was in his MIAMI years, let alone when he was in LA/ORL.
