The guy can rebound. If the Rockets do decide to do some sort of sign and trade and get Josh Smith and Howard goes elsewhere, I think we should consider going after him. This is assuming Smith would come without Howard of course.

Yeah not such a bad idea, i remember there was a rumor we were trying to trade for him before he came to the league.

I like him, he's a great player but like the argument against getting Milsap he won't really be taking us to the contender level.

    ROFL!!

My exact sentiments though. Pet isn't an upgrade over Asik.

pekovic offensive game is a lot better than asik, and pretty equivalent to asik. But probably not worth the trouble of figuring out a trade for him to the Rockets.

I only meant this in the context of if we used Asik in the sign and trade to get Smith... I do think Asik is prolly just as good as he Peko. But I do think if we could get Smith it would help more than it would hurt.

He's not equal to Asik defensively or as a rebounder. He's a good man defender vs. true centers but he's not a rim protector and subpar for PnR / help defense. And he's a great offensive rebounder which is huge; but he's not equal to Asik overall.

    Much more talented offensively though.

But is he going to stay healthy? If healthy, I think he's the best UFA this year after Dwight (and not counting CP3). If you could pair him with lets say Johh Smith up front for some help defensively, that's pretty awesome.

But the health part worries me.

i'd rather have asik than pek. asik's skill set is far more valuable to our team.
