By the way, I said this yesterday, but worth noting again: I'm absolutely convinced that people connected to Dwight are spreading misinformation to preserve "suspense". In the past 24 hours, we've had various reporters saying the Rockets, Mavs, Lakers and even the Warriors (whoever cyberx talked to) could be the preferred team. I don't think Dwight is flip-flopping, and I don't think those reporters are lying. I think there's an intent to keep people guessing. The reporters I trust most on this, in order, are Woj, Amick, Stein and Shelburne... and they each still seem to believe that Houston is the frontrunner (some have it closer than others). That gives me hope.
I don't get the point of making that statement. Talk about random. But it's very possible that they do goto bars that are showing the replay of the game. Because CSN does replay the game at 12 or 1AM. Although I don't think they're there to necessarily to watch it.
All i have to say to you guys is dont get your hopes up...its not the end of the world if he doesnt sign.
I am guessing nobody heard the interview Morey did this morning where Morey said Dwight made no mention of bringing in any specific players or a 3rd star. He said neither Lin nor Asik where on the block contrary to rumors. Dwight wants to play with both guys. That Asik would be Howards backup and they would have 2 of the top 5 defensive centers on the floor at all times. Still these "experts" keep throwing out theories hoping one of their guesses are right.
Sad thing is I doubt we hear much until 8 p.m. or later (our time). The Lakers are the final meeting, and they're "early afternoon", so if they go to 5 or 6 LA time... it won't be until after then that we finally start hearing whispers.
I'm a super fan and all too, but taking off of work to follow something that will not be resolved until the weekend at the earliest?
Have we found out that post that was edited/removed a few weeks back that would have a big reveal once free agency started?
